What I would like to ask is how exactly do you find so much spare time to chat on these boards about earning between £100k and £250k when you have five children of your own and also what seems must be a very demanding full time job?

I have just one child and a very part time job and this will be about the only 5 minutes I get to luxuriate on the internet?

Not saying you are all bullies, but threads that single out an individual poster and accusations of being a troll, then people googling her and trying to find out who she is - well, you put yourself into her shoes eh?

It's very offensive and not what Mumsnet is about, so leave her alone now.

Uwilalalalalala · 14/11/2006 14:59

Okay, what exactly did you search on when you found her? And I'mnot bullying her. If you read down, you'll see I have a vrtual MN "Xenia" flag which I earlier waved in support of her.

catsmother · 14/11/2006 15:37

I only "know" who Xenia is because of what she herself wrote. This made it relatively easy for anyone intrigued enough to do a bit of googling and find out. So far as I remember though, on the other site, though quite a few people have privately identified Xenia, none of them has actually publically identified her.

Surely ..... that final "unveiling" is up to Xenia herself ? Or else she would be posting under her real name and be done with it ?

Okay ...... it would appear that here too she may have said enough about herself to enable identification (I don't know .... I don't think I've read ALL her posts here, because I never have enough time to read every thread). But I think to announce who she is - in spite of what some people may think of as "indiscretions" (allowing ID to be made) - is possibly going a step too far, and really isn't in the MN spirit.

After all, the vast majority of us retain our privacy by using pseudonyms, which some people also change on a regular basis to further secure that privacy. If someone were ever able to identify me (not that they would, & not that the "real me" is to be found anywhere on the Net anyway) then so be it - but I would feel hurt and picked upon were my identity to be announced by someone I knew, let alone someone I didn't.

I only posted originally here because Xenia was being accused of being a troll and/or a man. I stand by what I said previously which basically amounted to thinking that though Xenia's opinions may at times be controversial/tactless/condescending or whatever, I have never seen her post - here or elsewhere, with the intention of causing trouble or upset, as you'd typically expect a troll to do. Fair's fair ...... from what I've read of her posts, she has never name-called, nor personally attacked anyone else (though I accept that her blunt style combined with strong opinions can make people in quite different circumstances to hers feel as if their lifestyle attacked).

tamum · 14/11/2006 15:38

It is quite easy to work out, but I don't think anyone should be doing any outing. Ahem.

magicfarawaytree · 14/11/2006 15:57

ill be honest if someone wanted to tell me who zena is I would listen - just nosey really. I couldnt be bothered to go to the trouble of googling her because is doesnt really matter who she is. I actually thought her comments verged on bullying if I am honest. But ultimately I just thought she was just a very vocal, misguided zealot on this subject, and thats what got my back up. There a few people on here whose views I almost always find at polar opposites to mine but I still enjoy reading what they write, after all you cant beat a healthy debate.

Queenmummy · 14/11/2006 15:57

Quite right catsmother and tamum. The only thing I would say to Xenia is that perhaps you ought to be a little more careful about revealing info about yourself and your family on the internet as it is quite easy to identify who you are and to then find other info about you. There are a lot of weirdos around - you never know who is lurking - and you should be a little more careful I think about posting information which could identify your children etc and could put them at risk. Up to you of course, and I'm not giving you a lecture - just a thought.

Uwilalalalalala · 14/11/2006 16:23

Okay okay... you are right. Sorry I asked.

expatinscotland · 14/11/2006 16:27

Zena is a warrior princes, magic

magicfarawaytree · 14/11/2006 16:39

I loved that show nice to see a woman 'kicking ass' as they say. tho dont remember her berating any poor peasants for staying at home with the babies whilst hubby was off fighting demons. must have missed that episode

expatinscotland · 14/11/2006 16:40

And then there was all that lesbian innuendo between her and Gabrielle . . .

fennel · 14/11/2006 16:51

all that shared bath and back rubbing between tough women in leather bikinis is exactly what gets all the nerds hot under the collar

magicfarawaytree · 14/11/2006 16:52

no surely not, but now you come to mention it, what with fetish clothing, the brooding looks... It was kind of weird science, meets clash of the titans. more women debasing themselves women died you know so that others could wear clothes

UCM · 14/11/2006 16:57

She is Vanessa Feltz

Queenmummy · 14/11/2006 17:01

Xenia - you must be so proud - having had the last word on the 1001 post 250k thread, you have now generated your own 200+ post thread - all about you!

magicfarawaytree · 14/11/2006 17:15

is that true ? I didnt know that vanessa feltz a child rearing mysognist?

magicfarawaytree · 14/11/2006 17:16

or even misogynist

WeaselMum · 14/11/2006 17:43

ah - just realised who she is - not sure about the Greek husband thing now but that's definitely the Greek definition of her MN name!

I agree that it wouldn't be right for anyone to "out" her on here. Have only been following this thread because I didn't understand why she was being accused of being a troll. I don't agree with all her posts but know many people in RL who hold similar views to her, so she looked genuine enough to me!

Judy1234 · 14/11/2006 18:56

I just picked a name in a few seconds that was available. Greek myth thing. Wasn't Xenia the warrier princess on TV a lesbian icon at one point too... not that that was the reason. The name has no significance at all. I am not sure why anyone would be more interested in me than anyone else. It's a fairly boring topic.

WelshBoris · 14/11/2006 18:57

Good luck with this weekend Xenia

WeaselMum · 14/11/2006 19:01

oh sorry xenia -it's a nice name anyhow!

PrincessPeaHead · 14/11/2006 19:06

ooooh lordy what a thread. Just seen it.

as someone who originally spotted judgeflounce for the (male) legal imposter that she was, will all of you lot who think Xenia is a bloke, a troll and a whatever PLEASE take my word for it that she isn't.

She is a lawyer, she is female, she has 5 children, and I've even been in a meeting room with her in my dim and distant past. We might even have shared a speaking platform but I'm not entirely sure about that. Anyway. So you may not like her politics, her views, her way of saying things, which is fine - but don't doubt that she is who and what she says she is.

TheHighwayCod · 14/11/2006 19:07

adn anyone who deosnt care
get some ghds

WeaselMum · 14/11/2006 19:28

I just wanted to say directly to xenia - I'm sorry I joined in with this thread actually (firstly for mistaking you for someone else but also for joining in generally) - all this speculation is not something I would like to happen to me. I think you've responded to it in a very dignified way.
