Man arrested for self identifying as a converted muslim woman.

I think this throws the door open for all kinds of questions about fairness.

Men have been banned from covering their faces at protests so one man identified as a muslim woman and wore a burka, he was arrested.

I've seen 2 media outlets so far with headlines reporting that 'a man' has been arrested.

If we break it down...

If a 'real' muslim woman attends a protest (a Pro Palestine one for example) would she be arrested?

Has he been arrested for wearing the burka or identifying as a woman falsly?

Why is he not believed when he says he is a woman?

After all, it is fluid day to day and just a feeling! And any man can decide to become a woman at any point?

And who says he cannot decide to convert to Islam??

And why is he being reported as 'a man in a burka' when transwomen are NEVER reported this way when they self identify, even after committing rape?!

We all know why he is doing this.

But he is simply playing the establishment at their own game.

Why have so many Palestine protests occoured with men covering their faces with Kaffirs and balaclavas but it only becomes a problem now?

Why is it a problem to self identify now?

Why is it not a problem for a muslim woman to cover her face in a bank or school or park but this 'muslim woman' cannot?

Of course its ridiculous

But the point is that ALL self identification and complete covering of the face in public is ridiculous

But its only this man be arresed and called out for seemingly both things?

Man arrested for self identifying as a converted muslim woman.

Are you trying to be as offensive as you possibly can?

Honestly no. I know you won’t believe that but I have zero interest in upsetting you or anyone one else.

(I didn't report anyone)

The Blackbelt Barrister has weighed in on the arrest if anyone wants to listern.

Kafir - that’s a class of women that some fundamentalist Islamic teachings say can be raped, right?

Pretty sure it's all women, if they're out unchaperoned and dressed 'immodestly'.

You’ve definitely offended me tonight. I’ve just looked up that word and it’s been mentioned in survivor accounts of the Rochdale Grooming enquiry as a reason why white girls were deemed acceptable to rape. It’s also a word that pops up in all sorts of papers to do with grooming gangs and support organisations. It is not ‘just’ a word that means non-believer. It is interchangeable with a slur and pejorative.

I honestly watched a video of a muslim man in France saying they can tell which women to rape because of head coverings. Its haram to rape a muslim woman so it protects them.

I will try and find the video.

Having been called both I 100% agree with you . Maybe if you haven’t it’s a non issue .

ShitHoleDweller · Yesterday 20:51

I am equally offended by the G word that’s thrown around to describe white people, particularly men. I absolutely hate it.

It’s not specific to women, it’s any non Muslim, but of course men who want to justify sexual violence will find any excuse. Muslim women are also victims of sexual violence, regardless of their belief or modesty.

Why would it bother you? it’s just words and other people’s nonsense In the eyes of Islam if you’re not a Muslim then you are Kafir whether you like it or not. See also goy for balance.

Cis I quite like as it quickly lets me know they’re a bellend which is always helpful x

I think you mean that when you use "Cis" its lets others know you are a bell-end. I agree that is very helpful to others - it's less time wasted giving you the benefit of the doubt.

If the BBB is correct and i understood correctly the law is wearing something that has the effect of concealing your identity even if that was not your intent (with a carve out to exempt uniform, health, religion (apparently their was a bona fide burqa wearing muslim woman nearby in the counter protest who wasn't troubled by the Police)). I'm wondering how far they could take this; a beard, big pair of sunglasses, those patterned clothes that make you invisible to AI although, ironically, extremely visible to humans, ice cream all over your face? Will we see Santas, Roy Orbison tribute acts, or toddlers arrested?

TheywontletmehavethenameIwant · Today 06:10

I think they've brought out another ill-considered law, rushed out in a knee jerk reaction to criticism of them. It seems clear to me in the video his intention were to take the piss out of the government not to hide his identity, that was just the result of his actions not the purpose. The CPS is going to have difficulty proving otherwise.

YourAmplePlumPoster · Today 09:32

So someone can be arrested now for taking the piss? I would say the actual robbers, shoplifters and phone theft criminals are taking the piss right now.

AwfulButTrue · Today 09:57

But surely he wasn't hiding his face for criminal intent as he commited no crime? He was peacefully protesting alongside everyone else, which is a legal right?

If he was concealing his face whilst commiting assault or stealing then the concealment could be an extra charge on top of that?

But surely hiding your face whilst commiting no crime cannot be a crime in its self?

Or they are saying it is at a protest especially but he is not hiding it for criminal reasons but to protect himself from being doxxed by people despite protesting being a legal right?

I am not against face coverings being banned. I think they should. But it should be universal and no exceptions.

Isn't it funny that during covid they prosecuted people for not covering their faces. Maybe he should have wore a face mask and said he was worried about that.

GreenFootstool · Today 10:02

@AwfulButTrue if you still haven't read the law which governs the charge the man now faces, you'll never understand what you're talking about. It's been explained on here several times.

Hasn’t this been explained? The police can designate areas where it is an offence to conceal the face. They are relatively new powers.

This man was at the counter protest, just feet away.

Why wasn't he arrested?

For goodness' sake, it's not hard 🙄

The right-wing obviously must not cover their faces as it might make it marginally harder to find and arrest them. It doesn't matter if the left do as they're never going to be arrested anyway, so they can wear what they like.

Same as any man can put on a dress and he's she's definitely a woman, so long as she supports Labour. Even she rapes other women with her penis, she's definitely a female so it can't be actual rape. On the other hand, if he doesn't support Labour he's clearly a male pervert out to cause trouble, and he must be locked up immediately to protect us all. Even if he's not sexually assaulted anyone and is just walking along the road. That's quite obviously much more dangerous, you can tell from her his politics.

It's really very simple.

The left wing marches were generally peaceful and people were arrested for holding placards. The right wing marches weren’t, and they were arrested for violent offences. Many of the marchers had been convicted of domestic violence and sexual assault. They are racist halfwits out to cause trouble. When it comes to violence against women, the phone call is coming from inside the building.

The legislation was introduced largely in response to the pro-Palestinian marches. The queer community was very sad about it.

New police powers could criminalise wearing a mask at Pride

The police will have the power to make it a criminal offence to cover your face at a public protest if Labour’s proposed policing bill becomes law, putting LGBTQIA+ people attending Pride events in danger of being outed

There were zero arrests at the original portsmouth protest!

Considering the demographics of the Pro Palestine lot Im sure if you ran their details there would be crimes galore there!

I mean if you ran the stats of the audience at an Ed Sheeran concert you'd get a proportion of criminals!

I will ask again. WHY WAS THE MAN COVERING HIS FACE WITH EXACTLY THE SAME KIND OF MATERIAL NOT ARRESTED TOO?

It was pointed out to the police who said they wouldn't even speak to him!!

How can anybody justify the inequality in that??

It is blatant and unjust.

And the reason there were nonarrests is because there wasnt time to bring in counter protesters to cause tension.

And if you thinkbthat isn't true watch the videos of the police escorting the 'stop racism 'protesters in to stand opposite!!

Right?

And how many TRAs have attacked women at female rights protests? Or lefties attacked people at speakers corner for condemning abortion or children being put on puberty blockers.

I've seen multiple videos of people being attacked and having paint and drinks thrown at them.

Look at what happened to Anne Widdecome and Charlie Kirk.

MURDERED for conservative views. MURDERED.

Murdered for words. Murdered for opinion. Murdered for upholding their Christian beliefs.

Show me high profile Imans that have been murdered by white men for preaching Islam....

Don't you dare try and paint a picture of the peaceful left.

Ignoring the fact that the original Portsmouth demo wasn't as entirely peaceful as you claimed!
