Same . Cast my first vote for an old Communist Party candidate years ago. Don't think I've changed a whole lot. Whereas a lot of young woke types don't seem to know much about socialism , or care for that matter. Their politics come in a bundle , largely unexamined. Off the peg so to speak. one of my favourite (although not as well known) songs is Cap in Hand. It just really describes Scotland at the time. I’m not even a Nationalist but that one gets me going every time.

Evan's twinkly laugh and sniggers are a total give away to how impartial he isn't on any given subject. The more his voice catches the worse it is.

Absolutely this. Their heads have been filled with this rubbish, which is about as far removed from socialism as you could imagine. Any real socialists would be saying, why the hell aren't the trades unions supporting Sandie Peggy and the Darlington nurses and Jennifer Melle. And voices of sanity from anyone in the music industry are surely very welcome.

Oh no, I have Sunshine on Leith on CD.

Mind you decades later I can still listen to those 2 over and over, I love the way they sing so closely and effortlessly together, and that they provide harmonies that are in my range when the tune isn't and I can belt out happily!
