👋to everyone else and your stories about pigeons and poutine and things, sorry I haven't the mind-space to reply to all, as I usually like to because I enjoy them so much.

And some of Edith's recent beautiful Nature notes have passed by without comment, but as always, I loved them💚

I tentatively asked The Lads this morning 'Soooooo.... do you think...maybe.... you'll be able to ....you know.... finish up today?'
The short, somewhat humourless laugh was all I needed to know - not a chance.
I know that sounds a bit dodge, like they are finding things to do, but don't worry, they are recommended and reliable- 'sound' as we say in Ireland, 'kosher' as we used to say in East London [I think that's an OK piece of cultural appropriation, because it's used as a positive] and I've been saving up a few structural things to be fixed all at once so I'm not surprised a few more have revealed themselves.

I just want to have my own space back, I'm not used to having people - esp of the male kind - around for such long periods of time. And being so noisy, obviously!😩

Thank you for enabling the rant, I feel a bit better now. I'll just have to give myself a firm talking-to and remind myself that the work is necessary and A Good Thing and it could be worse..

I've just opened the Shirley Temple Tribunal thread, and my 'Why the theatrical paws?' post has had twenty-seven 'likes'😁
I'm tempted to email it to NC c/o her chambers, she might find it amusing too!
And I don't think there's been any laughs at the trib today, I think it's going to be tough going for 'EDW' - can't remember her full name.
