Never let it be said that I am not prepared to read and learn. That certainly sounds like an interesting development. It was a little sad that the report I read focussed on men who were having to have revisional surgery, I don’t know what the failure rate is for a neo vagina, but suspect it is fairly high.

It's not common in my experience, but complications do happen. I've known two women who had complications in their initial surgery requiring a revision.

The specific procedure I underwent was a week following the identical one performed on a 15 year old, at the request of her medically trained parents who did not want any visible scaring or split thickness skin graphs used. I don't how common it became or not. But it is what it is.
