Presumably they start off in the scrotum and as the BioAlchemy process starts to work, they ascend back up through the groin via the original path they followed when descending. Coming to rest somewhere either side of the bladder. Connection-wise, they'll likely stay attached to the fancy-sounding vas deferens. Perhaps using the prostate as a buffer from which to bounce back up, if they accidentally go too far.

Gives new meaning to a game of Pinball.

What if only one descends? Does that make you non-binary?
What if they go up and down randomly? - is that gender fluidity?

I so want them to make a ‘boing’ sound as they’re bouncing up and down!

After pondering the phenomenon of clownfish changing sex, and doing about 20 seconds of googling some extensive scientific research, I have come up with a theory as to why there is an explosion of adult MTF transitioning. Hear me out...

Clownfish live in groups where only one male and one female breed. The breeding male will only turn into a female if the breeding female dies. So, extrapolating to humans (with absolutely no huge leaps of faith or flawed logic, honest) if the birth rate falls because of women choosing not to have children, men are subliminally perceiving it as a lack of breeding females in society which is why so many of them are compelled to 'change sex’. It’s all women's fault after all and the poor fellas can’t help it.

To point out the fact that no transitioned human male has ever gone on to give birth is just hateful bigotry.

(Can I join reddit now?)

Managed to miss this....

This is amazing. Please follow up on your research. As a starter for ten, is it worth taking it to the biochemistry department in Oxford? There's a thread on this board which shows that they are a very open-minded bunch there. If there's a tenuous way to establish whether the cellular functions your hypothesis covers are being driven by protein, nucleic acid changes or any other Important Science Words, I'm certain the lecturers there could help. One of them stands out in particular - quite literally, actually. I won't link the thread, as technically the lecturer isn't identifying as a woman, well not in the "can people change sex?" sense.

The metamorphosising testaries risk going into spasm if the prostate can't successfully place them before their transformation completes.

What happens to the prostate in the magical male whose testicles turned to ovaries?

It comes out in his first period, and then from then has has his monthly period, just like clownfish.

Does he develop gills at this stage, or is this later on?

Looks like I spoke too soon:

We already know it’s possible for other species to produce both types of gamete at different stages of their life. It’s only a matter of time before this will be medically possible in humans.
🙄

Hold the front page: Men already produce 'both types of gamete': half their sperm have an x chromosome, half a y. The one that fertilises the egg (which all have an x) determines your sex.

CassOle · 04/05/2026 21:03

But when does he produce large gametes (AKA eggs)?

Errr…. Are you getting chromosomes and gametes mixed up there?

Ah! Not exactly but was reading two types of gamete as in 'sperm that makes boys' and 'sperm that makes girls'. I think my brain was trying to make it make sense.... Nope, they actually do think humans will evolve to switch between making eggs and sperm.

SidewaysOtter · 04/05/2026 22:18

Nope, they actually do think humans will evolve to switch between making eggs and sperm.

It's funny, no-one ever asks a trans woman to be a surrogate. If they can produce eggs, it must be sheer transphobic bigotry that causes this Hmm

This thread has been … interesting.

can I identify out of having ovaries and get a pair of balls instead?

where do I sign up?

GriseldaandMike · 04/05/2026 22:41

If anyone ever actually changed "hormonal sex" they could stop the blockers and cross sex hormones and be 'ladies' thanks the female hormones they are now producing. But they don't, the suppress one set of hormones and overlay different ones.
It's like me claiming I'm a successful alchemist because I had some base metal on the table then I threw that in the bin and put some gold on the table. I haven't changed anything I need to carry on buying gold to keep 'performing' my amazing transformation because actually nothing has been transformed.

I was thinking about this.

one post has said before iirc that their children are adopted.

i wonder have they been told the truth about them being adopted? And have they been told that onepost is trans?

adoption is, in a sense, a legal fiction. It makes the child a child of the parents for all legal purposes.

what it doesn’t do is mean that the adoptive mother gestated and birthed that child. It doesn’t mean that the genetic heritage of the adoptive parents is that child’s For example, the child will still have any genetically transferred disease or genetic disease risk that come from their birth parents. I’ve seen this in my own wider family.

It makes the child a child of the parents for all legal purposes.

Not entirely true. It does for us commoners, but not for anyone with the kind of title that must be passed on to his "male heirs of the body lawfully begotten". As always, the aristocracy have an exemption.

> Nope, that's absolute rubbish

I mean look. That is how biology works so there is no need to deny how reality works. People like you on here are very bold to make assumptions without knowing how your own body works.

> A "neovagina" is a penis turned inside out, or some other rearrangement of colon tissue. It isn't a vagina.

It still is a vagina regardless of how you define it.

No it's not. Where are the Skene's glands and the Bartholin's glands? Vaginas have both those, surgically-formed pouches do not.

> That's a Nobel Prize right there!

It's not a nobel prize at all :)

CRISPR is a gene editing tool.

> This is wrong multiple levels.

If it was truely wrong, then my child would not have a scar in their middle of their scrotum!

> No tiny penises are clitorises.

Yes they are when the embryo is less than a month old. You'd know that if you did an x-ray.

> For a start, women don’t urinate from their clitoris. However, a penis has a urethral outlet.

That is because a couple of weeks later the sex differences start. How do you not know this?

An undifferentiated male embryo is not a female embryo. An undifferentiated female embryo is not a male embryo.

Small scale in-vitro alterations to reproductive tissue cells do not a full organism sex-change make.

> Anything other than a cavity to put a penis or an object in? Can you name a purpose?

Outside of a sex object (and I have no idea why people are obsessed with that), it would be medicines but that depends on how it's constructed because there is 7 different types of bottom surgeries.

Do you know what the primary purpose of a real vagina is? To serve as an outlet for the uterus, both for menses and babies.

A woman can go her whole life without ever having sex with a man, but she will still menstruate.

> What is CRISPR going to do in a fully developed human?

It is a in-vivo gene and an ex-vivo gene tool. It allows people born male to have ovarian cells and allows people born female to have testicular cells.

"Cells" != "whole gonad".

By "functions" I am talking purely for sexual stimulation.

Because obviously sexual stimulation is the only thing that matters. Tell me you are male without telling me...

I see that the men have had a shift change and have sent a new sucker to get beasted by FWR.

> It is self lubricating, it has its own micro biology, and can stretch to accommodate the passage of a baby during childbirth.

You can have bottom surgery self-lubricate too because as I mentioned, there are 7 different bottom surgeries which transgender people can choose and is why I mentioned medicine absorption.

You make the assertion, you evidence it. What glands are moved by the surgeons to enable this self-lubrication?
