Grace Campbell - Alastair Campbell

If I have missed any threads already started about this then apologies.

I am literally lost for words on the post she added to her podcast along with Charlie Craggs.

My own daughter has been lost to this cause. I am hoping I get her back. How utterly vile can a young woman be - Grace Campbell - towards women who have worked so hard to give her such privilege. I might be ugly and a freak Grace with awful hair. But I am not a mean girl.

Charlie Craggs
This hilarious article is about them being refused hormones & threatening to "take down" their GP, includes the line
'They know this as well because I said on the phone "I'm Charlie Craggs I have a Wikipedia page".'

I HAVE A WIKIPEDIA PAGE !!!
Can you imagine having to put up with this shit?

These people are beyond parody!! 😂🤣

I feel a teeny bit sorry for him tbh, such ridiculous comments on this simpering podcast, surely he'll be widely ridiculed which of course will be 'transphobia/hate' and not well justified mocking for his 'uglyyyy' comments.

I'd never heard of him before, I wonder if the whole point of this was for sm fame?

Datun · 19/04/2026 13:22

What's depressing about those two is the fact that despite being in their 30s, they still think it's okay to slag women off for the way they look.

And the vehemence and glee with which they do it.

What is it about their lives, their social circle, their family, that makes them think this will land well?

How can you possibly get to that age thinking people are going to admire you for this? Or not realise what sort of people will admire you for it.

It's very creepy, incel adjacent, angry and woman hating. What sort of people do they think are going to be egging them on??

These aren't basement dwellers complaining about all the Stacey's out there. She's the daughter of a prominent ex politician, ffs.

Depressing as fuck.

ArabellaScott · 19/04/2026 13:26

'... Craggs added: 'You might be able to refuse me service ladies, but you're not allowed to be incompetent.
'So if I can't get healthcare than no one in my vicinity can because I am taking you all down.''

Grown man throws a tantrum and threatens his GP with unspecified actions if GP declines to participate in his fantasy medication.

@TransParentlyAnnoyed

Your child must be so confused. They hate their sexed body so much they want to be the opposite sex, but then want to wear clothes that are associated with their natal sex? How can you truly mind being identified as your birth sex if you do that? Confronted with a woman on testosterone with a beard but with a skirt and make up on, people are honestly going to have to do a lot of guesswork! I honestly cannot understand this ideology.

matresense · 19/04/2026 13:35

But yes, Grace Campbell is lacking in critical thinking skills. As is her dad, tbh. (I quite like Rory Stewart, but AC cannot ever manage to see the other side or be non partisan on any subject).

SidewaysOtter · 19/04/2026 13:49

I've worked out who it is that the likes of Grace remind me of: Diana Mitford/Mosley.

Utterly privileged and cushioned to the point that nothing is really real, and problems experienced by ordinary mortals simply don't affect her. In fact they never even occur to her because they don't happen to her or those around her.

And if reality is presented along with the harm done(*), then she just denies it.

(*obviously I am in no way likening the fight for women's rights with the Holocaust)

SidewaysOtter · 19/04/2026 13:50

HoppityBun · 19/04/2026 03:41

Rory Stewart is not left wing. He’s no longer a member of the Conservative Party, but he’s most definitely not become left wing.

Fair point. He still comes across as being of the 'woke bro' mindset though.

Mmmnotsure · 19/04/2026 13:51

Thinking about the derail. It has taken the start - a trans identifying man and a woman being particularly cruel and offensive about women - and given us instead pages discussing how people, including and possibly mainly women, are said to be particularly cruel and offensive about people who id as trans.

I hadn't see so clearly before how derails are set to work.

Edited so as to get back to the OP: watching the body language with the sound off is very informative as to how teenagery Grace Campbell appears, and where the power lies.

It’s all too easy to derail threads here. I wish more of us would follow the “no feeding” advice.

SlipperyLizard · 19/04/2026 14:49

I saw clips on X then listened to the whole thing on Spotify (audio only).

Firstly, if you didn’t know who Charlie Craggs was then you’d start off thinking GC was talking to a gay man (which, of course, she is).

Charlie refers to himself as being a gay boy pre-transition, and I’m sorry that he must have experienced so much homophobia that he decided effeminate man = woman.

Charlie talks about his love life and how hard it is to find a partner, as gay men don’t find him attractive and straight men don’t want to be seen in public with him (or, more likely, be anywhere near him sexually, being straight and all that). Says he’s going for bisexual guys now, although by the sounds of it not successfully.

Says he was wearing tights on his head as a child, which somehow proves that he was really a girl (cos long hair = girl, right?).

I’m sorry that he has decimated his potential dating pool, but his later assertion that straight women’s husbands will somehow meet him in the bogs and go crazy for him sounds a bit hollow in light of his earlier statements!

He is clearly not the sharpest tool in the box - claims the FWS sheroes want women to look a certain way (long hair, skirts, boobs out?) then criticises THEM for wearing trousers and suggests they should put skirts on.

As with most TRAs, he and GC have done no work to actually understand what we think, and their “arguments” are with an imaginary foe who doesn’t exist.

The whole thing was quite sad, as I think one day Charlie will have to come to terms with what he’s done to himself and how different his life could have been as a camp gay man.

CorruptedCauldron · 19/04/2026 15:51

Calling women you disagree with “ugly” is shallow and misogynistic. It’s about as unfeminist as you can get. It also shows you have no argument left when you have to resort to personal insults. So, these amazing feminists fighting for women’s rights are not “chic” or “aspirational”? They are “ugly, ugly, ugly”? Of course not, but that’s not the point. No self-respecting feminist measures a woman’s worth by her looks. Shame on this pair. I am sure the patriarchy is grateful for their service!

Yes, agreed, but unfortunately there are many people who will admire these two spiteful individuals.

He works for the BBC and she's in the arts, so pretty much everyone they've ever met will applaud them and tell them how courageous they are.

Clown world.

I have to disagree. From what I have seen of Grace Campbell it would be unfair to compare her intellect to Diana Mitford's.

Diana Mitford /Mosley was no ditzy socialite. Clearly a very intelligent, erudite and articulate woman, she was also an unrepentant nazi supporter. Yes she was privileged - an aristocrat, it girl, wealthy and breathtakingly beautiful. She also spent years in prison without charge, away from her infant son, and then went on to campaign to improve the conditions in women's prisons. Her writing on 18th century French history and literature was insightful and sophisticated.

A complex character.

When you put that side by side with that video of two people gurning and braying "ugly" at women's rights campaigners.... not a good look for Grace.

Worth remembering that although "Troll Hunting" is banned that "Derailing" breaks Mumsnet Talk Guidelines so can be reported:

ImaniMumsnet · 11/01/2026 10:27
Hi all,
Just a quick message to remind posters that derailing does break our talk guidelines and it is always better to start a new thread to discuss the topic of interest rather than derailing a pre-existing one. We appreciate that the fluidity and dynamic nature of threads can mean that conversations can sometimes segue into other topics, however the OP has now re-echoed the scope of the thread discussion so we ask that posters keep this in mind when posting.

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 19/04/2026 17:24

Without charge, but not without cause. I'm with Jessica when it comes to Diana.

AreYouSureAskedNaomi · 19/04/2026 17:27

Oh I thought it was Nancy that grassed on her!

AreYouSureAskedNaomi · 19/04/2026 17:29

Either way Diana Mitford fucked around and found out. So the consequences of her abhorrent views came back to bite her on the bum somehow.

Brainworm · 19/04/2026 17:32

I’m not on Bluehair - has Grace Campbell responded to the back lash.

She has a very pricy comms specialist at hand to dish free advice. No doubt he is suggesting all negativity should be ignored at it will go away. I doubt he will say anything. I don’t think they’ll want to bring attention to the offending material because they know what a bad look it is.

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 19/04/2026 17:50

AreYouSureAskedNaomi · 19/04/2026 17:27

It was. I don't think she ever told Diana, though, whereas Diana could have been under no illusions what Jessica thought of her views.

Let us not get the nepotism baby pile on. I think Eve Hewson is fabulous. I think Liza Tarbuck is fabulous.

Grace Campbell - I am aghast, or am I. You had a great education. How did this end up being your opinion.

You do not know me. You called me ugly. You told me my hair was ugly. You discussed my clothing.

I might not look cool but I have worked a lifetime since the age of 12 with men feeling me up in working men’s clubs. Supermarkets - staff/customers thinking it is ok to comment on my looks. I wasn’t at an all girls selective school protected from boys. I was at a massive comprehensive school. I had no privilege.

It might be sensible to consider we do not all have your privilege. Or looks.

Edited

She went to a comprehensive school. It’s not selective.
But yes she’s a dick about this topic.

ScrollingLeaves · 19/04/2026 18:01

RobinEllacotStrike · 17/04/2026 21:15

To add, these 2 daft misogynists did all this and more while declaring THEMSELVES to be “actual” feminists- as opposed to bitter ugly hateful terfs.

it was very shocking to hear & watch.

they really think they are the good guys, totally deranged & unhinged. Willfully ignorant of any substantive facts.

and her Dad is so proud.

They are mind blowingly ridiculous.

They are, and that awful arch accent while speaking almost incoherently. They came across as stupid.

I am sure it was selective enough one way or another.

1984Now · 19/04/2026 18:18

Can you imagine the furore if any other visible political figure had a daughter who went online to slag off any other specific group of women based on their looks or attitudes...black women, lesbians, OAP women, Zoomer girls and women etc etc, and for good measure boasted how they got their opinions on said women from their daughter?
The meltdown on Bluesky would create a sinkhole that would implode the planet.
But no, Alastair Campbell's daughter is a potty mouth who trains her dad.
