Everyone knows that the majority view here is due to concerns about the erasure of female single sex spaces and words, children being caught up in an ideology when they aren’t old enough to consent (possibly leading to harmful hormones and/or surgery), female sports and awards being infiltrated/given by/to men, trans widows having their lives turned upside down and not supported but expected to support the stunning and brave husband etc etc. However, arguing against these concerns is not a good look so it’s much easier to shout “hatred” and “transphobia”.
Its so fucking tedious.

Go and read some papers by Ray Blanchard, a book by Dr Hakeem, experts in providing services to those with gender dysphoria, they give quite an insight in to the pathologies of trans identifying males.

Dr Az Hakeem is a consultant psychiatrist with wide experience of "trans" patients. He says that with every adult male who claims to be "trans" there is a sexual element. How could there not be?

Apart from the adult male fetishists the other large cohort but with a different aetiology are the young girls trying to escape being female. Most are autistic, most are same sex attracted. This is a social contagion just like eating disorders or self-harming.

But there aren’t a significant proportion of gay men who are perverted or mentally ill. I imagine the proportion is the same as that of the overall male population.

Rather than posters like Scary disputing my point, I think they’ve confirmed it with their posts.

Since when did 'mentally ill' become pejorative? It doesn't necessarily mean sufferers are bad or dangerous. I read it as purely descriptive. Interpreting it as a slur says more about how that person views people who may have a mental illness.

I sometimes wonder what allies of men who call themselves women, and who choose to try on and and wear clothes and underwear from the women's section, think those men are talking about when they describe the euphoria they experience in the moment by doing so.
