Everyone knows that the majority view here is due to concerns about the erasure of female single sex spaces and words, children being caught up in an ideology when they aren’t old enough to consent (possibly leading to harmful hormones and/or surgery), female sports and awards being infiltrated/given by/to men, trans widows having their lives turned upside down and not supported but expected to support the stunning and brave husband etc etc. However, arguing against these concerns is not a good look so it’s much easier to shout “hatred” and “transphobia”.
Its so fucking tedious.

I am always suprised that
A) they bother at all when they must know that it's all been said before and they aren't going to change anyone's mind in their favour. All they will do is invite sunlight on their crappy arguements and honestly, is it worth it for the Good Ally feels buzz?
B) some of the ones who come on with their "I just don't understand, why all the hate" bullshit do actually seem to want to believe the crap they spout, and I think some may have convinced themselves it's true. But that's how faith works I suppose, it doesn't have to be logical.

No, true, but to contribute to a gender discussion here is quite intimidating. I know I worried about getting my identity found out and struck off for years. I just think those threads are useful to get used to discussing gender things yourself in your own words, rather than always reading someone else’s thoughts. Thats my opinion anyway, I do still partly think the OPs on those boards are double agents as they are so ridiculous.

Its come up on other threads that many users of FWR (and MN as a whole?) just dont have time to trawl through long threads.

I am sure many of them have absolute nuggest in them but for them to have any impact there would need to be some resume each day highlighting some post on one of the very long threads!

It is a bit infuriating when he comes onto these threads just to despoil them, but when any reader can see he has nothing, nothing at all, no arguments, just lies and attempts to make us feel bad for misgendering ffs, And violence. Always the violent acts.

I had occasion to intervene with the knock and run game on my street many moons ago near a chip shop that the teenagers frequented at lunchtime.

My neighbours were all elderly and it was very very unfunny.

I hung about the alley and chased them all down. All five foot nothing of me.

this particular poster has a history of violence.

it is not the same as some trans identifying individual seeking to argue their position.

This poster has a menacing presence on the internet and has engaged in violent threats and allegations against Sarah Phillimore.

This is not a person who should be engaged with. Even though i did myself.

I use threads like that to vent, I also pick up a lot of info from the post that do respond to the ploppers, when they keep shoving they're fantasy science 'papers' on us, it's good to know there are very knowledgeable people who can prove they're talking through the arse.

It's also good to see that no matter how much they try they can't shut women up, especially on a forum that is for women to voice they're opinions on.

They’re a good washing line to air views that might not otherwise have a space as they don’t necessarily merit inclusion in another thread as they’re too basic /someone else has already said it much better/ it’s not actually the topic of discussion but you want to get it off your chest and not lose your job
