Views on this board being deliberately miscued

Everyone knows that the majority view here is due to concerns about the erasure of female single sex spaces and words, children being caught up in an ideology when they aren’t old enough to consent (possibly leading to harmful hormones and/or surgery), female sports and awards being infiltrated/given by/to men, trans widows having their lives turned upside down and not supported but expected to support the stunning and brave husband etc etc. However, arguing against these concerns is not a good look so it’s much easier to shout “hatred” and “transphobia”.
Its so fucking tedious.

They are all indeed mantrumming away, doing their best to derail every thread and discussion, in between the wide eyed disingenuous "You're all so meaaaaan" posts that make me wonder if some sort of bat[shit] signal has gone out again. Ultimately though it's just angry little men who aren't getting what they want any more and have got no better argument than to fall back to oh-so male violent threats, including sexual assault with 'splintery rolling pins'.

Currently there's an ongoing thread on this board discussing how trans women (framed in that thread as "men who dress as women") are perverts, kinksters and fetishists that are influenced to transition by porn. This is a commonly held viewpoint on this board, as is the assertion that trans people are deluded or mentally ill. There is no "misconstruing" here, this is transphobic.

How do you know it is a commonly held view point have you done a survey?

And even if it was (which is not true) then so what. That is not transphobic, more like an inaccurate belief.

Because I see it on this board regularly. Maybe not all posters here actively believe it but what I don't ever see is that viewpoint getting any pushback from other regulars, so if they don't believe it themselves, they certainly seem to consider it an acceptable or tolerable opinion.

And of course it's transphobic - it's promoting a negative false belief about trans people just because they are trans. It's suggesting the very fact they are trans makes them bad people or people who have something wrong with them. If you don't consider that transphobic, perhaps you could share an example of something you would consider transphobic? (Ideally without playing the "transphobic means scared and they're not scared!" bingo square, obviously "transphobic" in this context means "prejudiced against trans people" in the same way homophobia means a prejudice against gay people and not a literal phobia).

Well some of them are and have been convicted for it. I’ve never seen any regulars saying that all trans people are perverts. In fact, most have a lot of concern and sympathy for part of the trans community, particularly young girls.
Please don’t try to act like AGP doesn’t exist. We keep all men out of female sex provision because we don’t know what ones are a danger. Why should one cohort of men be treated like a sacred caste?

LMAO ok but you are aware changing it to "many" doesn't make it any better?Replace "trans" with any other minority group. If someone said to you that they thought many gay men were either perverted or mentally ill, this would be uncontroversially a homophobic statement.

I'm done with this thread, I'm done with being lied to by people pretending they didn't say what they clearly said. Anyone reading who has an ounce of critical thinking can decide for themselves. Anyone who is still genuinely puzzling over why people think this board is transphobic has had their question answered.
