Just over £7K raised by a community who feel threatened/unsafe/marginalised/victimised/insert word of choice seems to suggest that they know they're on a hiding to nothing here and don't want to waste their money.

The GLP fundraiser was put up weeks and weeks ago. The 'community' has had quite a while to show their support if they were minded to.

Maybe GLP are not shouting much about this particular fundraiser as they are not confident of success
<<sad face>> we couldn't rase enough to put up a strong defence of the school

Or maybe, even the often-deluded bubble can see this is a stupid cause to put their money towards?

Boffe · 31/03/2026 15:19

On a related note @SingleSexSpacesInSchools, you are requesting a Judical Review, yes?
Can you put in simple terms exactly what this is judging? i.e. it is not whether the school actually IS putting boys in with the girls, but that if the school says it may do on a case by case basis, then this would be illegal/discrimmination/harrassment? Is that right?

Is the boys in with the girls now a known fact in evidence?

WhyThatsDelightful · 31/03/2026 15:22

GLP fundraiser states “The school has followed local authority guidance and the law”

That’s exactly not what the local authority believes. It’s exactly why they launched v5 of Trans Inclusion Toolkit.

It is an application for a judicial review yes. I should probably leave it there on the details until things are further along and there is more that's allowed to be shared.

Ok, thanks. I didn't appreciate the answer might be difficult. Are there any deadlines you can share? I ssume you are waiting to hear back from them, or for a court date?

Minor point. Its just over £7k showing as raised by the GLP on the website they edit.

Buskers never start with an empty hat.

It’s an old and effective trick.

Ahhh - so probably nowhere near that amount. #SadTimes

I just don’t want to shoot myself 3” away from the finish line! Not at all sure what’s shareable or not, so shooting for less for now that’s all :)

I had a quick look at all the different campaigns they claim to be running. Some of them seem at odds. The various 'freespeech' and 'Stop someone something trans' for example. It's surely just a matter of time before the GLP winds up taking itself to court.

Although perhaps that will at least guarantee them a win. As it's the GLP i wouldn't be surprised if they still managed to loose.

ProfessorofSelfPortraiture · 31/03/2026 18:34

Sent you and your daughter something by email via your solicitors, @SingleSexSpacesInSchools - he said he'd pass it on so if you don't get it, sack him. 😉 Wishing you all the best. 😁

FranticFrankie · 31/03/2026 19:10

"Children's safety shouldn't be weaponised for political gain" - says GLP
Oh wow
Just wow
Can they hear themselves???

I hope and pray that the school finds the funding needed to be able to respond to your judicial review. This is shaping up to be the knock down, drag it out fight that defines what schools can and cannot do around this.

Mmmnotsure · 31/03/2026 23:07

Even if they did start with something in the hat, the OP's post at 12.20 had £7,633 and now the GLP website ten hours later shows the princely sum of -
£7,683.

murasaki · 31/03/2026 23:10

I think even the swivel eyed reddit loons have realised the the fox killer's current grift of choice is a waste of their benefits.

SlackJawedDisbeliefXY · 31/03/2026 23:24

Hmm, target of £30k, £7,683 raised so far. £50 in 10 hours or £5 per hour

Should hit the target in another 4,500 hours providing the donation rate does not fall off - 185 days.

It looks like the previous donation was £20.70 by Sophie 6 days ago. Using this extra data, donation becomes £70.70 in 6 days or 49p per hour.

This means that the campaign would have to run for a slightly more challenging 45,450 hours or 1,895 days

Clearly, GLP are playing the long game

I don't think they know what game they're playing. They keep turning up to a boxing match with a tiddlywinks set.

I know it was a different area of law and costs vary, but GLP were very recently involved in defending a claim and successfully got it thrown out by a judge for having no legal basis.

It still cost the defendant £146,000 just to get it thrown out. £30k doesn't seem like it will touch the sides.

Edited

And Jolly isn't going to cut any of the massive GLP wages bill and other expenses to redirect cash towards a JR... what if GLP pulls put of supporting the school, and their insurance and the LA have also refused to support this legal action?

SingleSexSpacesInSchools · 01/04/2026 09:58

I do not see a world where the school or local authority, blink.

Luckily, I wasn't born with any eyelids.

@SingleSexSpacesInSchools

You may already have heard, or even posted about Protect and Trust?

"The women fighting to keep trans activism out of the classroom"

There's a Telegraph article all about them, but for some reason I can't copy it.

i've had a quick skim, and I can't find contact details either. It might require a bit of a deeper dive.

But it sounds like they're completely on your page and they've made some headway.

Yes thank you for that it's a good contact, I believe the local pressure group in Brighton, is, and there is some level of discussion!

To whoever sent my daughter a gift voucher, please know 1 - she got it but more importantly, just thank you so much for taking the effort, the kind message, and putting your hand in your own pocket, it's incredibly generous. Honestly every single act supporting her and cheering her on has made the world of difference to her resolve, thank you, and thank you every one.
