Green Algy has been to my house today.

The water filter was fine last night. By this morning it had taken on a green tinge. Now I could have cleaned it immediately, but as a brand new water filter costing a brand total of 0p arrived this morning for me to test I put the green looking one on the side to wash later. When "later" will arrive who knows.

Not feeling particularly sharp today though- tripped and fell over with a bang. It hurts but at least it made DD laugh until she swapped the laugh for omg 😳

My dad purposely learned very little German (sad story) but one of his words was ‘Kartoffelsalat’. I don’t know why, we never ate it. ‘Tea’, when we had visitors, was always salad + cold meat + eggs etc, but the salads were very basic and never a combination of ingredients.

He always put an ‘n’ in the middle of the word, though, ‘Kartoffelnsalat’. I don’t know why. I also thought the word ended with a d rather than t but I never saw it written down. Perhaps I’m misremembering.

I did ‘O’ level German but don’t recall that I used the word. It always reminds me of him, though.

4 espresso cups and an ashtray. It's a bit up and down with the skin but I suspect the change in the weather is in part responsible for that as it needs time to adjust to new weather.

Looking at the picture of the elephant and it's cousin the elephant shrew reminded me that a few threads back, someone (Cake?) was considering crocheting an elephant. Just wondering how that project is going and whether it might be less time (and wool) consuming, to crochet an elephant shrew instead? At least there would be no problem moving it around the house.
