@Keeptoiletssafe I am retired and no longer in the Corporate world but I can re-assure you on one point at least. The work you are doing has already made a difference, in that you have brought the issue of toilet safety to notice. I have seen your posts on the tribunal and other threads, as well as being quoted on other platforms and I have seen the posts where others have specifically asked for your advice. I'm sure many of us on Mumsnet have used public toilets in the past without giving a thought to the work that goes into designing them, but you have opened our eyes and we are passing our concerns about safety to others, including those who are in the field. You should be very proud of the contribution you have made Flowers

I agree. It takes time.

And every time someone reads one of your posts keep that's another opportunity for the information to get out.

I guess it's similar to what those in sales called brand awareness.

You're raising awareness. And your grim determination to keep doing it is why it's going to be successful.

Keeptoiletssafe · 17/02/2026 11:17

@DownhillTeaTray @Seriestwo I better not start another thread. I have too much information - it’s cutting it down to make it readable. I must stop procrastinating and just get it done.

Thank you everyone. You are my virtual colleagues. There’s women on here (you know who you are) who I couldn’t have done as much without.

On trans UK Reddit there is a current thread about a couple of transwomen who, having been previously told not to use the ladies in their local Star/Heineken pub, were emboldened by by the High Court gains last week (!) to try using the ladies there again. Told that they should not. Well done to the management of that pub, but not unexpected that the posters on trans UK Reddit do not appear to understand that whatever GLP says the rights to access single sex toilets have not changed.

www.reddit.com/r/transgenderUK/comments/1r70c3y/mtf_couple_told_we_have_to_use_mens_toilets_by/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=mweb3x&utm_name=mweb3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button

Some of the arguments put forward on that thread are really quite bizarre.

There is even one poster who sounds almost like one of these "sovereign citizen" types. They claimed that UK courts were "kangaroo courts" and that:

"They may have power, but it is not based in any real law, and only in violence and corruption. The courts may have power, but on this matter, no legitimacy whatsoever."

That sounds very much like Euan. Horrifying that there is someone else who posts such delusional comments on public platforms.

Perhaps it is Euan.

Equally disturbing was the thread where one person was asking if they had to disclose their birth sex if they were going to work with vulnerable young people, giving personal care. The number of replies saying it’s an article 8 breach of your privacy don’t tell anyone, was incredibly worrying.
I know which group in that situation is ‘The Most Vulnerable’.

If we're on to disturbing messages there's a message from one poster not wanting to be outed their own 14 year old daughter: "I'd have to explain to her why we can't use the same toilet."

JFC - imagine your child not knowing that you're their father and not their mother.

That's a nice little fantasy he's got going on there.

If he looked enough like a woman that his own daughter doesn't realise he's a man, he'd have absolutely no problem whatsoever accessing women's toilets.

And this is the other thing. These people tell all their fellow posters that they pass so seamlessly their own child doesn't know!

It makes all the other people feel completely inadequate that they look like a brick shit house

Maaate · 17/02/2026 13:52

Strange how our resident TRAs have a lot to say on another thread but 🦗🦗🦗 on here.

Surely they can explain to us exactly how GLP won?

Christ on a bike that poor child. If he really thinks that his 14 year old daughter doesn’t know that he is a male then that girl has been gaslit to within an inch if her life or else she is gaslighting herself by never giving any outward sign that she knows the truth about her father. Either way that is emotional abuse.

FranticFrankie · 17/02/2026 14:15

Poor, poor daughter indeed- unless he's making it up for trans-points

OpheliaWitchoftheWoods · 17/02/2026 14:16

And it will inevitably and deeply damage their relationship when she finds out she's based her entire life and relationship upon that parent's lies. But hey, the parent's inner self got expressed with the experiences they wanted, so what the hell, eh?

Except this is a Sure, Jan moment.

I see PTD being downvoted to oblivion for being the voice of common sense again...

Poor old P-t-d. Downvoted, as ever, for pointing out the actual law to them, not GLP law or Pink News Law.

But, at least one or two other ones have started to base their replies on facts, not feelz.

Thank you @Brainworm . I read a BBC story about a man who was trying to help find a girl and a few points felt familiar and overwhelming. However I must remember his situation was different - it was happening at the time. The incidents I am writing about have all happened. I can’t change them. ‘It will bring attention to what needs attending to and you are in a fortunate position to be able to do this.’ This is what I need to focus on. Prevention for the future. The frustration comes from the not knowing if my work will make any difference. I also want it to be the best it can be but may have to settle for as good as I can do at this moment to get it in asap.

Your work is making a difference and will continue to do so. My DCs are very informed on this matter - sadly one got barred from club they liked for Hmm but a couple of them has also raised awareness in a lot of friends and given them so much info, thanks to your work.

ive said it before but it worth repeating that as someone very much at risk from closed cubicles, I appreciate your work so much. This morning I was feeling very down about being discovered after yet another seizure (hence probable spag errors sorry) as being found like that feels so horrible and humiliating at the time, even though I know rationally it shouldn’t. But it would be a much worse scenario to not be discovered. Your work reduces the risk for women like me so thank you for all you do, but as PP said only do as much as you feel able, please don’t sacrifice any of your well-being. You’ve done so much, thank you.

It's on a par with believing having a gender makes you the opposite sex.

The English legal system of the oldest legal systems in the world and forms the basis of many other countries' legal systems including the US legal system!

Talkinpeace · 17/02/2026 17:46

@Keeptoiletssafe
Re writing up your work.

Start a bullet point list - five key words per case.
Expand each to 30.
Put it on a substack.

Sort them into themes or geography and expand the first 5 to 200 words
put them on a substack

work your way through the list.

As people send you more cases (which they will)
add them to one of your existing groups and then carry on with the original list

one thing after another and you'll get them all published

Keeptoiletssafe · 17/02/2026 20:55

@WeBuiltCisCityOnSexistRoles Thank you so much for posting. Hope you are feeling better and get to take it easy for a while x

@Talkinpeace thank you for your reply. I am not sure I need any more cases, I have too many! My report is 27 pages so far - I need to cut it down but most of it is links! I also don’t use anyone’s stories on here - don’t worry anyone. This is because I want to link to confirmed evidence of it happening in the uk. So a mix of court reports, government reports, police reports, Hansard, traceable FOIs, newspaper articles, design documents, academic works, medical stats etc. Most of it you can find online. I have had a few pers comms quotes with authorities too.

I was having a bit of a wobble this morning as the many real life examples are difficult to edit so factually and getting the tone right without it sounding quite callous. The children’s ones especially. I link it all straight back to toilet design.

It won’t be published. It wouldn’t feel right. It will be going to the relevant authorities to show them, using verifiable real life examples, that certain single sex designs are best for health and safety but for that to happen it must be a single sex environment. Those designs must be the main provision and prioritised.

Well my goodness I never thought I would see the the words “turd polisher” in The Times - even as a quote!

I am very happy that GLP and JM specifically are starting to be called out, finally.

Hedgehogforshort · 17/02/2026 21:24

I am so glad that this very clear and sensible letter has been sent by legal experts

hooray !!!

rebax · 17/02/2026 21:26

Some heavyweight signatures there

tropicaltrance · 17/02/2026 21:49

A government spokesman said: “We have always supported the protection of single-sex spaces based on biological sex and expect everyone to uphold the law and follow the clarity that the Supreme Court ruling provides.

The word "always" is doing some heavy lifting there. Bit unfortunate when they're responding to a letter about disinformation.
