Oh dear Joly, are the wheels coming off the trundling grift? Even your own supporters are turning on you, never mind the overt criticism from your peers and being vilified in a national paper.

I came on to post that brilliant letter but I see someone has beaten me to it. I see the fox batterer is doubling down over on Blusky.

lcakethereforeIam · 17/02/2026 23:43

'Always'!? Why does Bridget need to sit on the guidance? It can't be to keep her arse warm, surely her burning pants are more than adequate for that?

fromorbit · 18/02/2026 00:49

It really is coming to an end for the fox botherer.

The appeal fund is at £29,000 which after the huge sum raised last time is way too low.

Now with the letter and article the truth is coming out. He is losing support.

I have to say it is sad to see him go. His incompetence has helped speed run the pro-women side by undermining the resistance to the judgement. He has saved our side years of time and effort. They could have dragged it out WAY longer.

Ereshkigalangcleg · 18/02/2026 01:38

He won’t go without more fuss. He’s a Japanese soldier, because of his daughters.

What else can he do? He’s not fighting to be legally correct, he’s fighting to get control of the narrative. And he knows his audience, whatever I may think of many of them, are vulnerable to comforting information wherever they can get it. Several of them have outright said on Reddit that they can’t handle the bubble being popped and they would rather not accept the truth if negative.

This is the most important site for internal Labour politics with a great article from Labour Women's Declaration.

In the internal war over genderism in Labour this court case is a significant win which further undermines those still believe in it. Pressure on Phillipson is mounting.

The article from Labour Women's Declaration is great. Unfortunately, this one is also prominent on the website:

https://labourlist.org/2026/02/the-high-court-judgment-brings-more-uncertainty-for-the-trans-community/

It's strikes me how he talks about things in the workplace being dire for trans people, but he omits to mention how women who want single sex spaces might feel, as evidenced by the recent employment tribunals, such as the Darlington nurses one. He also talks about WI branches (plural) shutting down. I'm only aware of that one in Sheffield where they've had a strop because they can't include men anymore.

At last count that I saw there are 12 closing.

Oh really? All because they can't include men? In the long run, I don't think this is a bad thing. It is better for these women, who don't truly want to support a women-only organisation, to step away rather than try to circumvent the law by setting up "sisterhood" groups. It would be great if all the activists left Girl Guides too, as I think some one them would rather bring the whole organisation down rather than let girls have a single sex org.

There might be 12 WI branches closing but there are 6,500 that aren't.

I know at least one is closing because they can't get the committee members. All the organising is quite a commitment. I think they might be merging with a nearby one.

I completely agree with you about this and Guides. If certain women can't support a women/girls only organisation that was set up specifically for women or girls then it's not the place for them. Leave it to the majority who want that.

Yes LL has been posting both sides for a while. Thing is the pro women side is obviously more realistic long term.

Trying to spin GLPs loss is a losers argument which leads to more defeat.

FarriersGirl · 18/02/2026 17:04

Well it looks as if the legal profession have finally lost patience with the fox botherer. About time......

ElizabethFryIsSpinning · 18/02/2026 17:04

whats Happened to his concert for trans rights fundraiser ?

SionnachRuadh · 18/02/2026 17:05

Emma Burnell is editing LL these days. Emma is one of the smarter people I can think of in Labour - there's no conceivable reason why she's not an MP when you look at some of the dumbos who get elected - and I believe she might have a firm grip on reality.

Unfortunately, many Labour members do not.

WallaceinAnderland · 18/02/2026 17:08

Unfortunately it's worse than that. He has told transgender people the opposite of what the judgement said and many are now gleefully celebrating their 'right' to use whatever toilet they want, even if their employer tells them not to. They are now at risk of being sued for harassment. He has put their livelihoods at risk.

Even IW has reposted this on X which shows he not read the judgement either.

"Watching the TERFs have a tantrum over the Good Law Project correcting their lies and disinformation is hilarious."

I can't imagine IW reading anything, let alone a court judgment! It's no surprise he's gone for the spoon fed wrong version.

We are correcting their lies and disinformation, yes. No tantrums here though.

SionnachRuadh · 19/02/2026 09:48

It's just as well Jolyon is no longer registered as a barrister and therefore no longer regulated. Repeatedly losing cases and then claiming you've won them is the kind of thing that could get you into trouble.
