Looks like it was a man in a dress. Another tragedy. More lives lost. Boys with violent tendencies cannot be told they are actually girls. The violent background of trans activism is a problem.

BREAKING

The identity of the Tumbler Ridge shooter can now be confirmed as Jesse “Jess” Strang.

Strang is a biological male who started to “identify” as a "girl" around 2023.

Strang was raised in a family that valued hunting, and began learning how to shoot rifles when he was just a child. Many guns were kept in the family's residence.

Facebook posts from his mother indicate he may have struggled with behavioral issues, including violent tendencies, from a very young age.

Strang fatally shot 10 people prior to taking his own life.

In 2021, Strang launched a YouTube channel that was promoted by his mother on her Facebook. The channel was dedicated to "hunting, self-reliance, guns" and his other interests. At some point, Strang deleted the content on the channel and changed his handle from "Jesse Boy" to "JessJessUwU." The only remaining post on the channel was made 6 months ago and reads "I've been pretty, um, aimless."

My 15 year old son said “can you believe a woman would do this” I said “no. I will put money on this being a trans woman”

Kilopascal · 11/02/2026 08:32

there are ppl suggesting that no one in that village would have known that he was male

No. I'm suggesting that Canadian teens would say he was female.

My teens know every trans student in their community. They stand out.

I thought it was highly unusual that a woman committed a mass shooting. I was waiting for the true story to come out. This confirms what I wondered.

I read it first on the BBC and then read it on the ABC. When I read it on the Beeb, I immediately thought it was worded very carefully. Seems that the staff at the ABC read it and decided to use the term woman in an early article.

https://www.abc.net.au/news/2026-02-11/british-columbia-high-school-shooting-multiple-dead/106331278?utm_source=abc_news_app&utm_medium=content_shared&utm_campaign=abc_news_app&utm_content=link

I noticed that ABC have now changed their coverage to follow the BBC. But I did wonder at the time whether the ABC had this current information and yet still chose to report this person as if the person was a ‘woman’ because that seemed to fit what the ABC does still. I now feel I cannot trust the ABC.

Woman kills nine in shootings at school and house in Canada

The woman turned the weapon on herself after the killings, according to police.

This is the result of giving cross sex hormones and useless 'affirmation' to a turbulent teen who actually needed intensive psychiatric care.

This is what happens when mental illness gets rebranded as a totally normal and even positive thing. It stops being treated.

Playingvideogames · 11/02/2026 08:36

I KNEW it wouldn’t be a woman. I knew it. The first thing I did was forward the article to DH and say ‘woman?’. How devastating for the parents. It really feels as if transgender shooters are now very over represented and some kind of urgent inquiry is needed into why. They won’t do it, of course - this is a ‘vulnerable community’ who mustn’t be scrutinised

RedToothBrush · 11/02/2026 08:37

BBC
'We have not yet received confirmation of the suspect's gender or identity.'

Euphemism time.
Weasel words.

You know there's speculation based on what they DON'T say as much as what they do say.

If we get an incident in the UK we get references to "the man's ethnicity has not been revealed" for example.

We know what the BBC will say in time....

VaddaABeetch · 11/02/2026 08:37

weegielass · 11/02/2026 08:03

Its clear from the wording that its a transgender male. Accuracy matters. These are not our crimes.

Male will do. Just make. there is no other kind of make than a make.

Chersfrozenface · 11/02/2026 08:38

I now feel I cannot trust the ABC.

It has not been possible to trust the ABC for some considerable time.

Helleofabore · 11/02/2026 08:39

Kilopascal · 11/02/2026 08:26

My experience of even UK teens is that they are very quick to leap into the idea that their transgender classmates are instantly the sex they say they are.

But it could be as simple as "report says dress, long hair, girl?, run"

I know what you mean. I have had my teen tell me their friend is absolutely male when she is a barely 5 foot teenaged girl who will never pass as male.

I think there is an argument to say “report says dress, long hair, girl?, run" or to be honest and say male shooter who has transgender identity, wearing a dress with long hair. And if it is a past student or current student, add that status as well so that the children and teachers involved know not to discount any person!

Absolutely spot on.

Vargas · 11/02/2026 08:40

My teen, very woke, dd said, 'No way a woman would do this'. Turns out she was right.

Warning people in an active shooting situation that a dangerous person is 'female' when they are clearly not is negligence in my opinion. What if there were visitors to the town who didn't know who all the transgender people were? Infuriating. Canada is in an idiotic place at the moment.

Not our crimes!!

Ereshkigalangcleg · 11/02/2026 08:41

The media will be stuck because if they report it is a “woman” they’ll just highlight it more because no one will believe it.

WhereAreWeNow · 11/02/2026 08:42

When they said on the news this morning that it was "a female in a dress with brown hair" I did think that was odd. Unusual for a school shooting to be carried out by a woman and odd description. I did wonder if maybe the killer was trans.

EsmaCannonball · 11/02/2026 08:43

Can you imagine the BBC saying a mass shooting had been carried out by 'a man in trousers'?

Totally.

A man in trousers with short hair!

teawamutu · 11/02/2026 08:50

Be interesting to see the coverage from Canadian media once the ID is officially confirmed.

Hard to claim that the most captured country in the world has been persecuting this poor Most Vulnerable Minority(TM).

ApplebyArrows · 11/02/2026 08:51

If stating the sex is likely to cause confusion why not just not state it?

You could even mention that the person is transgender, though acknowledging that would doubtless be seen as horribly bigoted by many.

Underthinker · 11/02/2026 08:53

How many trans school shooters is that now?

IMO another key driver of this is and the instability of the trans population in general is the message they are getting from their supposed "allies".

They are told that anyone who doesnt fully accept their new identity & pronouns, or anyone who doesnt fully believe in gender ideology, is motivated by transphobia - i.e. hatred. They are told that they are not "safe" around such people. Imagine growing up being told half the people you know and half people you meet for the rest of your life already hate you and want you harmed.

fromorbit · 11/02/2026 08:56

Someone accidentally told the TRUTH on the BBC ooppps!

Take a look at this very good source for the BBC, interviewed about 20 minutes ago. He’s a local journalist, possibly the only local journalist. He pulls himself up in an early answer, after unintentionally saying ‘he’. He’s tired, he’s been live-streaming for hours, it slipped out. He’s trying to do his best. This man obviously knows the facts around the killer’s sex and identity. He doesn’t want to publish them, the BBC doesn’t want to publish them, and it’s fair to wait for police confirmation. But the BBC has at its fingertips the information, off the record, that the killer is male, and likely trans-identified. This contributor should, please us all, have been asked about this OTR. At the very LEAST, the BBC can act on this information and forbear from using the words ‘woman’ and ‘female’. At the least. All outlets could have this information and either publish it or at least stop going along with the claim that the killer was a woman.

Women make up 50% of the population. Transwomen less than 0.5% of the population, yet without reading a word of the story, I knew that this would be a male type woman.

When will the trans community start acknowledging the real problems they have in their community? They have gladly been lumped in with perverts, abusers and severely mentally ill men, yet they tirelessly campaign on the basis that these people are women and that we should accept them as such. Tragic incidents like this keep showing how batshit this position is, but I have never heard a single one of them acknowledge these fundamental issues.

HarryMaguireSlabHead · 11/02/2026 09:01

The BBC is still reporting 'female'.

It's been at least an hour and a half since the killer's family confirmed the young man is the killer

SecretSquirrelLoo · 11/02/2026 09:03

A seventeen-year old boy isn’t a woman. Why aren’t they saying girl, if they must lie about sex?
