Yes of course! Fully agree, I'm just quoting the line in the article as it's written

Oh... and here we were, holding our collective breath, awaiting Imane's lawsuit against JKR to defend Imane's honour or whatever it was...

PolarGear · 05/02/2026 21:38

That is a very confused speech

AreYouSureAskedNaomi · 05/02/2026 21:38

Wait, I just read it the whole article. He's in complete denial, isn't he? Utterly convinced he's a woman.

GargoylesofBeelzebub · 05/02/2026 21:52

How is he expecting to pass the sex test when he admits he has SRY gene?

Underthinker · 05/02/2026 21:58

That's funny, this BBC article from yesterday has the part about being willing to take a sex test, but not the part about the SRY gene. Was that revelation made after this article was published, or did the BBC "accidentally" omit that detail?

Lovelyview · 05/02/2026 22:39

The next Olympics is in 2028 so Khelif has 2 years to carry on with his grift - getting stuff paid for and sponsorship deals before he drops off the radar. He'll probably open a gym.

Hicupping · 05/02/2026 23:04

Did not lower it to zero either. What about male puberty and the advantages that brings. Shame on Algerian boxing. And shame on OC for allowing someone who is genetically male beat the crap out of women for sport.

fashionqueen0123 · 05/02/2026 23:05

Women don’t take meds to lower testosterone

Hoardasurass · 05/02/2026 23:07

He's a lieing pos he knows fine well that hes a man and his bs about having reduced his testosterone to zero is laughable

deadpan · 06/02/2026 07:09

we all have different hormone levels No shit Sherlock.
i was raised as a girl But you were physically raised up by male coaches when you won, something they never would have done to a female.
If he has been told he's female all his life and they're still telling him that, then I do have some sympathy for him. But in this day and age with the internet at our fingertips - presumably in Algeria too - he has the ability to find out as much information as he can absorb. So hiding behind i grew up a girl isnt enough.

PrizedPickledPopcorn · 06/02/2026 07:12

His coaches didn’t treat him like a woman. Didn’t we read, he had to train against men to be challenged? If he still thinks he’s a woman, he’s not very bright. Or doesn’t look around.

OpheliaWitchoftheWoods · 06/02/2026 07:16

And the article talking about how he played football in the street with the local boys? In his area that was something girls were allowed to do? Confusion on his sex was short lived and early in his life. He's taken a lot of financial advantage of it.

Irrelevant anyway, his test results will preclude competing as a woman.

It wasn't just to challenge him, it was to avoid injury to female boxers. In fact further injury.

Olympic boxing trainer Rafa Lozano has said this about a training camp:
"We put [Khelif] with Jennifer Fernandez and it hurt her. Whoever we put [Khelif] with was injured.”

Lozano said that to avoid further injury to the women, the coaches eventually paired Khelif with Jose Quiles, one of Spain’s top male boxers."

That is absolutely awful, IMHO Algeria should be thrown out of the next Olympics. This brings the whole sport into disrepute.

PrizedPickledPopcorn · 06/02/2026 07:46

The poor women, facing him in the ring, risking their life and career. I mean boxing carries risks anyway, so to have them compounded by fighting a man, it’s barbaric and desperately unfair.

ThisHappyHiker · 06/02/2026 09:35

I'm not defending him but all this must have given him some severe mental health issues.

He knows he's a man but has to do all the mental gymnastics to persuade everyone, including himself, he's a woman.

Yes, I don't think they should be allowed to compete as a woman, but I do have some sympathy. It would be incredibly difficult to be raised as a girl/woman from birth and then have that turn out to not be true.

I don't give a fuck. He knew at puberty when he didn't get a period that he is male. Yet he STILL made the decision to BEAT UP WOMEN IN THE RING. He made that decision. He is nothing but scum and my sympathy is with Angela Carini and the victims of his who were severely injured and/or lost a title because they were competing against a male. Stop this suicidal empathy and sympathy. He's not worth it, he's a thug who knowingly hurt women.

NotBadConsidering · 06/02/2026 09:57

Absolutely. He knows he’s a man and he didn’t seem to have any form of mental distress about punching women in the face. Sympathy my arse.

He knew at puberty when he started ejaculating instead of getting a period. He was scouted and discovered when he was playing football with the boys in the neighbourhood, forbidden for girls in that country. He knew all along, right from puberty. I have zero sympathy because it may have been hard to find out he was male, but from the moment he got in that ring to hit a girl, that is when he made that decision and no longer deserves sympathy.

MY sympathy is for Angela Carini. A woman who did absolutely nothing wrong. Yet was mocked for crying (while Khelif stood by, SMIRKING! And he touched her on the breast afterwards as he went to leave!) and forced to apologise for crying and for losing to him!

oldtiredcyclist · 06/02/2026 10:03

It is quite ironic that the truth has come out now, a truth that we always knew existed. Early last year, I was permanently banned from a motoring forum for saying he (and the other boxer ) were male.

He was a kid going through puberty. They're generally not known for their rationality and deep thinking. I can understand why he would try and double down in his identity as a woman.

He should have stopped a long time ago and his actions later with Angela Carini are certainly not excusable, but I can still see the nuance. This wasn't just a failure by khelif, but the whole organisation. I have much more sympathy for Angela Carini too.
