Saw this article on the Mirror

https://www.dailystar.co.uk/news/latest-news/glam-6ft5in-model-kicked-out-36399985

I've seen Charlie's tik tok videos. So so surprised to see that this has happened to her of all people. Hoping it's a one off and that other tall women don't experience the same.

Forced Teaming with immigrants is so early 2000s

6'5" Women are still obviously women.

If she stands next to a 6'5" Man lets see if we can spot the difference.

Missy Franklin (6ft 3) and Ryan lochte (6ft 2) so in fact missy is taller than Ryan but can you tell which is which? Tricky I know!

I'm glad that it seems to be rare. I've never experienced it, but I'm 5'1 so after reading this article I was worried this was happening to all tall girls.

Nope - another tall lass here - no challenges in the ladies but I have noticed that the TIMs i see will look at me quite closely. I assume they think I might be one of them (briefly). Otherwise it’s just the usual tall attention “gosh you’re tall” etc. No hassle whatsoever

heathspeedwell · 15/12/2025 08:43

Another tall woman here. I's rather be challenged every single time I use a single-sex space than hear about another little girl being assaulted.

Women are really good at diffusing any awkward situations. I can't believe it would get to the point of a woman being thrown out of a space.

203percent · 15/12/2025 09:26

All the red herrings.

As an extremely tall woman, likelihood is that yes, people might think she's a man at first glance, because it's so unusual for women to be 6'5.

But even if this actually happened this is nothing more than an unfortunate side effect of being very, very tall.

This is not an example of how awful GC people are, nor valid reason for men to be allowed in women's spaces.

So its all a bit pointless really... unless you're on a publicity hunt.

Hoppinggreen · 15/12/2025 09:29

She looks F all like a man (unlike most TW) and even if this DID happen and its not purely for self promotion I am sure she will get over it

It’s the vigilantes fault that they are taking the law into their own hands and making mistakes.

We can see where that goes in the US with all the racists calling ICE on anyone they think isn’t an American.

WRONG! Not that I buy this story - she would have been 6 foot 5 for years and would have been challenged a few years ago, so it's strange it's coming out now - I smell a rat. But if this did happen, it's the fault of those who caused women to be on high alert in the first place, by allowing men to enter in the first place! Calling women on HIGH ALERT, 'vigilantes' for their understandable trauma response and high alertness is not just victim-blaming but a form of abuse. It is gaslighting and DARVO.

Yeah, transphobia is always someone else's fault

and @Harold99 . It's MENphobia. There is nothing 'twwannnsphobic' about being a rape survivor and fearing men entering the ladies. Check your own femphobia and misogyny.

ThatBlackCat · 15/12/2025 09:45

SternJoyousBeev2 · 14/12/2025 20:47

Any increase in women being challenged will be TRAs deliberately staging incidents.

That's what I genuinely believe too. There was one challenged in toilets in America not long back. She conveniently did an interview with Pink News, of all things (things that make you go hmmm) and was talking about giving out tampons to women in there. Women know we don't do this. It all was very staged, and very, very obviously a set up. They really think we came down in the last shower don't they?

ThatBlackCat · 15/12/2025 09:47

SlackJawedDisbeliefXY · 14/12/2025 20:53

I'm "always" mistaken for a man?
Ahah!, so this has nothing at all to do with toilets then. Just as I thought.

Just opportunism. She would have been challenged in the toilets for YEARS by now, and it clearly doesn't bother her. So this entire story can be discounted.

usedtobeaylis · 15/12/2025 09:48

thistimelastweek · 14/12/2025 20:41

Yeah, transphobia is always someone else's fault

Actually, it's misogyny. Women who don't meet pre-determined, socially imposed ideas of femininity being accused of being male, masculine or manly is misogyny. You don't get to unilaterally rebrand it.

And in this kind of case it derives from having boundaries around the presence of male people breached to such an extent that women are hyper-vigilant in their own space.

£60,000 a month?

well I didn't post anything about "social media or promotions" so I don't know where you found that lol

You’re up very late on a Sunday night for someone who lives in London.

Utterly ridiculous article posted with no comment and ‘Bustynatalie’ on X does social media and promotions in America. Is this one of those wild coincidences that have to be seen to be believed? I think you need to up your game if you are taking money for this Busty.

Abhannmor · 15/12/2025 09:54

There's a woman I occasionally see around who is way taller than that. Probably 6ft 10 or 11. Her bf is a bit shorter maybe 6ft 7 , about the same height as a friend of mine which is his I'm gauging this.
You'd never mistake her for a man but equally who is going to challenge her in the Ladies. Or even the Gents. This all sounds a bit sketchy.

ThatBlackCat · 15/12/2025 09:59

sanluca · 15/12/2025 06:58

It always seems to be the tall muscular built women who get challenged. Really? I wouldn't challenge a tall muscular man in the womens, too scared he would throw a tantrum. I think most women wouldn't.
So why would any of us challenge a tall muscular person we think is a man? We wouldn't dare

Yep. That's what these grifters miss. If we see a very tall muscly person we think is a male, we aint going to challenge them! We could be laid out flat on the tiles! That's why these 'stories' don't add up!

OP has an unusual user name for mumsnet.

I thought that. And breathlessly eager to rush here and post this on FWR.

It's almost as if...

Abhannmor · 15/12/2025 10:58

It's almost as if someone isn't making 60k a month online at all and needs to juice things up a little.

glad to hear it isn't a common thing for tall girls, other posts have been saying they reckon it's just a PR article for Charlie and I hadn't even thought of it but seems likely at this point

Even if this happened, which I doubt, it's not worse than all the women that are having to self-exclude because the need single sex spaces.

SwirlyGates · 15/12/2025 18:50

If I were 6'5" and making 60k a month from my looks, well hey I'd just suck it up if those looks made some people think I was a man.

Greyskybluesky · 15/12/2025 09:51

£60,000 a month?

At that rate, if she finds public toilets challenging, she could travel with her own personal Portaloo!

TheywontletmehavethenameIwant · 15/12/2025 21:21

At £60,000 a month I'm surprised she doesn't have an entourage to clear out any loo she wants to go in. 😂

I’m sure my 6’1 offspring will thank you for your concern, but no, it isn’t ‘happening to all tall girls.’

DabOfPistachio · 15/12/2025 23:08

I'm also very tall and have never once been mistaken for trans woman/man in a single sex space.
The fact that this only ever seems to happen to trans activists who have an agenda to push tells me everything I need to know.
