Sian Berry & the attack on FILA conference

I thought this deserved a thread of its own. It seems women meeting together to discuss feminism and issues affecting them are deliberately provacative.

Oh the irony!

’How dare these women demand access to our safe space?!’

She’s obviously trying to compete for the idiocy award with her newly elected leader, Zack ‘I can make your breasts bigger with the power of my mind’ Polanski. The Greens are just a massive joke. I apologise for the level of cringe you will experience if you watch this video, but ZP is obviously trying to rival that other moron Ed Davey 🤦‍♀️

The trans activists would disagree with you. Both the people who vandalised the venue and Brighton Pride put out statements which included complaints about how unsupportive the council to them ie the council doesn't do everything they want. Brighton Pride accused them of promising to fly trans flags but then reneging on that (council said it was black history month so that was taking precedence but that wasn't good enough apparently!).

https://x.com/satiricole/status/1976624168822308944

Trans Activists can only exist through disagreement. Agreement is genocide.

EasternStandard · 11/10/2025 11:00

Good idea for a separate thread. ‘Look at what you made here do’ for male violence.

Pleasantsort · 11/10/2025 09:38

Wow! Knew she was a zoomer before, but a woman hater to boot as well ? Women cannot discuss their rights in Brighton apparently or they will "cause " men to be violent! Bloody hell Sian...

She’s not gen z, she’s older than me!

Ereshkigalangcleg · 11/10/2025 11:18

Ridiculous woman thinking she’s down with the kids.

Great to have this thread. Remember too to take ACTION. This trans terror has been going on for too long and the Police and authorities do nothing. Too many women have been attacked. Its great to vent about this on Mumsnet. The next step is to fight back using our voices.

FIRST
Write your MP to ask them to condemn Sian Berry's endorsement of violence and attack on the freedom of speech and ask for action against this group. The Secretary of State of Health Wes Streeting has the correct approach see his response to the attack.

Wes Streeting

This kind of violent direct action is disgraceful. It is designed to intimidate people - in this case women - into silence and it must not be allowed to happen with impunity.

Remember Bash Back vandalised his office;
Wes Streeting’s east London office vandalised by trans protest group

https://www.standard.co.uk/news/london/wes-streeting-office-vandalism-trans-activists-b1241166.html

Sex Matters has a list of over fifty incidents of Trans activists threatening attacking, and silencing women in the UK. Make sure to link to this
https://sex-matters.org/about-us/what-we-are-up-against/intimidation-threats-and-violence-by-trans-rights-activists/

With the Supreme Court ruling it is time to stop the violence and censorship once and for all. The law is clear women are real. Violence is not going to change that.

Second
Also report Sian Berry to the Green Party for breaking their Code of Conduct;

Complaints Procedure
What to do if you feel that something in the Green Party has gone wrong

Code of Conduct
https://greenparty.org.uk/members/code-of-conduct/

The Green Party’s approach to ethical conduct is guided by its philosophical basis and core values, which include a commitment to freedom of self -expression and the non-violent resolution of conflict.

Philosophical Basis para 401

‘The Green Party affirms the importance of individual freedom and self-expression. We believe people should be free to make their own decisions on matters which do not adversely affect others. Its importance lies in valuing the opportunity people have to make their own decisions, accept responsibility for them and develop in their own way.’

Green Party Core Value 8.

‘We look for non-violent solutions to conflict situations, which take into account the interests of minorities and future generations in order to achieve lasting settlements.’ These perspectives inform the following standards for conduct.

Almost certainly the Green Party will let her off, but we need to show up their hypocrisy when they are expelling members for saying biology is a thing.

Third
Write to the media and press ask for more coverage of this and other incidents. The TAs are trying to block entrance to conference right now. When Polanski is on the TV lets get him asked about this. He has condemned the banning of Palestine Action what about Filia.

You can keep up with the wider issues inside the Greens including the rise of Boob Whisperer Zack Polanski in this thread;

This is great @fromorbit and just what I needed to gather my thoughts. I will be using you points to structure my concerns when I write to my MP Peter Kyle.

FOI request for her communications with the council on this matter?

Maybe the help she meant was beefed up security and a strong anti-violence message?

She has been back posting on different topics on twitter this morning. If she had an explanation that would help her out of the hole she has dug, I think she would have posted it instead of changing the subject?

Will add my FOI request into the mix.

As an aside, I assumed she might be quite young and naive but she is 51!

It's been in the top news section and all over twitter, different speakers have been leading the crowd in chants of "Free Palestine" and "From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free". Many Jewish women have left in disgust.

I am there. I wasn’t at the opening session - where ONE speaker, AFAIK, tried to get a chant going. My friend who was there said it was horrible and no one around her joined it. I later found out there had been a walk out by some Jewish women and allies. I would have joined them.

while there is good stuff happening there are other concerning things I’m learning. The virago women’s workshop pulled out of exhibiting all their work as one piece was refused as it depicted a LWS scene. WTF?

im about to go back in, mainly to connect with people ive met online, inc MN. But I doubt I will be supporting FILIA again tbh.

I hope she’s hauled up in Parliament for unparliamentary behaviour. Feminist beliefs are protected beliefs under the Equality Act.

And I hope all the good voters of Brighton read what she says and decide she’s not worthy of their vote.

It saddens me that a woman hates her sex so much.

I have emailed my (Labour) MP. He has claimed to care deeply about VAWG - something I referred to in my email. I really hope he shows that he genuinely does.

She uses the word "predictable" about the violence and criminal damage.

Did she have any insight or knowledge that it was going to occur and if so did she report to the police? I'm not sure anyone else thought it was predictable...She seems to have guessed or known it might happen a few months before it happened??

The National Secular Society have a stall at FiLiA, so it looks as if they’re not as ideologically captured as the humanists.

I have my issues with the NSS, but they stick to their brief. The humanists seem to have gone completely omnicause.

@Theeyeballsinthesky excellent thread. I am flabbergasted at how tone deaf Sian Berry has been. My only other thought is she is being ‘told’ to react in this way which - and I am being kind here - has she been coerced into sitting on the side of the TRAs? I particularly dislike the fact she has already discussed the situation with the council which questions why as a woman she would do so - unless she was coerced to do so.

I'd say this is more about Green party politics than anything else.

Polanski's aim is to completely capture the Corbynite left, the vast majority of whom will brook no compromise on trans rights.

@Pleasealexa That thought crossed my mind too, how could she know that there would be violence/criminal damage ? Maybe the Police need to speak to her if she has inside knowledge , has anyone actually been arrested yet ?

SinnerBoy · 11/10/2025 22:41

It's more that she knows that the trans extremist zealots usually respond to women talking with a violent reaction. She supports the zealots.

Thd definition of terrorism is the use of violence, intimidation and threats to achieve a political aim, which is precisely what these maniacs do / are doing.

I'd like to know why she is supporting these dangerous extremist ideologues. Perhaps the Police and security services might express an interest?
