Why is she even bothered. If someone accused me of being a man, I'd just say OK, roll my eyes and get on with life. Why even engage with it?

This, who wouldn't. Having looked at the almost irrefutable evidence I don't expect anything of any substance to be brought into court by the Macrons. The investigation into this has been long and thorough.

Whatever your views on the age gap I think it's safe to say that Frances first lady is indeed a man.

MixingMemoryAndDesire · 19/09/2025 09:33

This is one more version of the million versions of how a woman should look to be accepted. Young, thin, heterosexual, blonde, white usually does it but not always. Some women are petite, some are broad-shouldered, some square-jawed and some not etc etc. Why does the world feel entitled to declare who's a proper woman and who isn't?

Yes, it's complicated by the TRA debates but this is a different matter. This attack on Macron is batshit and sinister and patriarchal in origin. FFS! Now Michelle Obama too? Leave us alone !

I saw a Joe Rogan clip on the way BM sits- offered as proof of her being a man. In the clip, BM is tiny spindly creature in tight jeans which looks like the crotch is riding up on her and sits wide-legged. I could have easily "sat as a man" and often did as a teen, and my indian aunties would often pinch me on the inside of my thighs to remind me to close my legs. I suppose I am a man too. The thin gruel of the "evidence" is astonishing when you look at it. The Gen Y 9-11 truthers did a far better job, even present day conspiracists are a dumbed down bunch.

I posit that Candace Owens is a man and is attacking BM as a way of deflecting. Good a theory as any.

The certitude of loons is the most amusing thing about them.

The two main stimulants for this particular conspiracy seem firstly to be dissaproval of the relationship and its beginnings, and secondly being unable to conceive that an much older woman and younger man can ever sustain a long term relationship. But these things can and do happen, though not as often as the other way around.

i cannot begin to imagine why such conspiracy theories ( about Brigitte Macron and Michelle Obama) have taken hold in the first place? What are they trying to insinuate, and why? It just comes across as pointless, idle, malicious gossip.

Personally I think the accusations of high profile women being men are linked to the breakdown of trust in societies that allow men to pretend to be women, allow them to keep that fact a secret and harshly sanction those who object.

As I already posted up thread we have just experienced 2 men competing in the female boxing competition at the Olympics with numerous officials lying through their teeth that they are female. The ONLY reason we knew about this is because of testing information released by the Russian boxing organisation IBA. If the IBA hadn’t provided that information we would have had to rely on appearance which would have lead to accusations of judging women on “Western beauty standards” or their level of femininity.

We are being lied to by governments, and all of our institutions. The police are recording rapists as women and the press are reporting this without question. When the media reports a murder by a woman now I am always suspicious that they are being truthful.

we ALL know this is happening. So it shouldn’t come as too much of a surprise when people start pointing the finger at famous or high profile women and claim that they are men. This breakdown of trust is what happens when those who govern us lie. The Macrons and the Obamas are complicit in allowing this state of affairs to continue and I can’t bring myself to have very much sympathy tbh.

I can accept that as a cogent explanation.

Very odd that they’re providing photos as ‘proof’ (surely extremely degrading?) when a simple cheek swab would do?

But the " really a man" conspiracies seem to be rooted in gender stereotypes about how women should and shouldn't behave ( Macron), and how they should or shouldn't look ( Obama)

How hard is it to produce a photo of Brigitte holding a baby?

Inspired by your question, I had a look through the many photo albums covering the period when my three kids were small. There are no photos of me holding any one of them as a baby or toddler. That's because I was the photographer.

Same here. It actually really upsets me that DH never thought to take any photos of me holding my babies.

The Michelle Obama is a man conspiracy is even older the Brigitte Macron is a man conspiracy.

Thing is, we can tell. At 50 paces (even small children can). She's a woman. She'll be able to prove it easily, but what a waste of time.

Typical TRA argument by the way. As predicted.

Things you can't tell:

CIS women getting dragged because of a moral panic in name only for feminism….

I'm not sure if you are being serious?

If you are, what is it that you take from believing this to be true. I don't understand?

KateMiskin · 19/09/2025 10:08

This is exactly the plot of 'Mountainhead'.
Nothing is real. Everything is fake.
Terrifying.

I'm not absolutely sure mine ever got the hang of using my old SLR! 😂 Our youngest was already 2 when we got our first digital camera.

I think a lot of this conspiratorial stuff has been made possible by social media and by people having social media profiles and producing podcasts, and creating a name for themselves by doing so,

I know of quite a few people, personally, who never used to be at all interested in politics and who had no natural political instinct who have since become very involved in following podcasters and watching you tube etc.

They tend not to look at mainstream news programmes and have never been newspaper readers or subscribers. Believing in conspiracies makes them feel part of the 'outsider' group and gives them some sort of interest in public and political matters....but in a sort of twisted way...rooted mainly in emotional responses rather in political analysis.

It does feel a bit like the Olympic situation all over again doesn’t it. All the drama over passports, birth certificates, childhood photos, warnings of genital inspections, accusations of judging women on their looks or levels of femininity.

Just do the f-ing cheek swab!

Every time we look at a stranger and guess if they are a man or woman we are basing it off of whether they conform to a more statistically male o female appearance. Much of the time it's obvious but there are individuals where it's less so, at least at a first glance.

I think it does represent a breakdown of trust but it shouldn't be a surprise if they are picking out women who seem to be somewhat outside the average for a woman. Though, while MO is tall and broad shouldered for a woman, Macron pretty feminine in her appearance imo.

But they keep saying we can't tell, so...

This is daft. She's given birth hasn't she? There's your ultimate proof right there.

No, he's never given birth, please check out the facts and you'll see for yourself.

Chaosclassic · 19/09/2025 10:31

I went down a rabbit hole with this. It is wild. At the end of it I honestly wouldn’t bet my house either way. It is quite a weird story. And that she’s potentially not a she is the least weird thing about it. Very strange.

The truth is what I take from it. In the larger scheme of things it isn't something that affects me on any major scale. But I admire those who are able, given they've genuinely found evidence and that uncovered the facts, to get down to the truth of any matter that has been covered in webs upon webs of lies.

Saying anyone can tell by looking is cruel and disingenuous. You can't go making these sorts of claims without evidence, to which candace owens is more than confident the Macrons case will go nowhere. They were in contact with her answering her questions but failed to provide anything then so what's changed?
