Middle aged man dressing up in girls school uniform

The middle-aged man was filmed wearing a school blazer, skirt and tights while sitting next to a pink rucksack in the Cotteridge area of Birmingham. #DailyExpress

This is too weird. I don't know if it's an official school uniform. He appears at the end of the school day hanging around smoking. In the old days he'd have been moved along. Surely this can't be acceptable.

When I was at secondary school in the mid 90s there was a man who dressed like this and had built a sort of ‘den’ in some bushes on a footpath that led to the secondary school and was not near any roads. Numerous adults reported him to the police and were told yes he’s a bit weird but it’s not illegal. He then went on to rape an 11 year old girl on her way to school.

Horrendous. The poor girl.

With the last case that was in Essex, where the man was going into a school outfitters and pretending to buy for his granddaughter (in his size), I think it was heavily implied dementia may have been involved.

It is worrying as these men have a sexual fetish/predatory nature in them and dementia removes the one barrier that prevented them from this behaviour.

If they are exhibiting this behaviour then they shouldn't be allowed to leave the home.

VexedofVirginiaWater · 08/09/2025 20:28

Yes I was coming along to post those links to previous cases too. It is worrying and creepy to be sure. Until I read about those previous cases, I used to think that clothes were just clothes and people should be able to wear what they liked as long as they didn't believe it made them the opposite sex, but these cases changed my mind.

Bannedontherun · 08/09/2025 20:43

Two things for me.
Firstly that picture does not look right, the head looks superimposed and the upper and half body door appear to be of the same person.

So not an image i am willing to trust, or give any credence to.

Secondly, i find it completely bonkers to suggest that we ought to police what people wear. And that we can deal with people based on anticipating a crime they may or may not commit based on what they say or wear.

For sure we need legislation to protect single sex places, and women's rights.

Fruit cakes walk amongst us. But that is a fact of living in a free world.

Bannedontherun · 08/09/2025 20:45

Should have checked my post i meant the bits of the body in that picture do not match up it is fake.

What @Bannedontherun said.

Datun · 08/09/2025 20:56

Clearly a pervert, in my opinion. But there's no law against wearing a girl's school uniform. However, the police should be keeping a bloody eye on him as it's red flag city.

TheCatsTongue · 08/09/2025 21:08

You can police what people wear, for instance to impersonate a police officer.

These men aren't buying fancy dress school uniforms, they are buying the uniforms of the local schools and they are hanging around the schools and harassing the children.

SinnerBoy · 08/09/2025 21:14

It's not faked, there's video footage of him on Twitter.

I suppose anything can be faked now, but who would bother? Or, maybe he is performance art?

Where are all the gobby teens ripping the piss out of him? That’s what would happen round here.

We can thank Stonewall, Queer Theory and (no longer Gay) Pride for opening the door to sex fetishists of all kinds. Once it became unacceptable to say men can’t become women, we were ordered to practise ‘acceptance without exception’. Is anyone surprised that men like this now feel — and are — perfectly safe advertising their sex fetishes to children?

This sort of thing is, I think, where we can start to see the logic around prohibiting, either legally or through social pressure, cross dressing.

It's all very well to say that people should wear what they want, there isn't anything innately female about dresses (though I think that's only partly true,) or that it inadvertently stops people like David Bowie who aren't fetishists but are pushing fashion boundaries.

And maybe that is the side we should come down on, but the other approach is not, as some seem to believe, just prudish prejudice. Because by allowing other people to cross-dress in public settings, it means you can't do much about guys like this cross dressing in public settings, and sometimes they might just fly under the radar altogether.

I know some people think the problem would be solved by abolishing "gender" but as long as men and women have differernt kinds of bodies, and sexual interest in each other, that isn't going to happen.

Bannedontherun · 08/09/2025 21:33

In cannot get my head around the idea that we should insist on dress codes for men and women its just bonkers.

And nobody here has come up with a link that confirms this picture to be real.

This horrible man has found a way to sexually harass young girls on their way to school. To remove any sense of pride in themselves as young women getting an education and forming community. It’s just another way for a man to humiliate girls. The shame must change sides yet again. Shame on this man. Shame on a society that allows a man to do this with impunity and even praise. It’s the same old tired story.

I totally agree with you, he’s doing it to make them feel uncomfortable about what they are wearing. It’s a massive power play and totally abusive. He’s gross.

On Twitter, someone in the comments recognised him. Screenshot attached.

I've reported my post and asked for the photo to be removed. I cannot say with certainty that it is genuine only that it is all over twitter.

Good i looked at the alleged video footage which is a couple of seconds and clearly fake.

As a firm GC person we could do without stuff that discredits us. We have a reputation of being a fact based movement which i think needs to be maintained.

mrshoho · 08/09/2025 21:48

Men should not be dressing up in school girl's uniform. If that statement means I'm imposing dress codes then so be it.

I think you can say that, and try and make it socially unacceptable.

I don’t like being confronted by men pretending to be women, but i cannot see how we could prevent it.

If we had laws about dress codes in public for men. which would, by virtue proscribe what women wear as well, we would be in a world like Saudi

Poppingby · 08/09/2025 22:00

He hasn't done anything wrong. Why is the whole country talking about a nutter at a bus stop like he is the first one ever? He is literally sitting at a bus stop in a skirt, that's it.

Goodworkifyoucangetit · 08/09/2025 22:26

This is a worrying thread. I used to know (to do with my work) a family where the dad dressed up as a schoolgirl (short skirt) when he was at home. He had 2 primary school daughters whose heads had been stuffed with gender ideology. The mum had one of those jobs that allows you to get a job anywhere, and they emigrated to Canada. I'd be very interested to know how the girls turn out.

It can be policed.

Last year when the very real story about the man in Essex started doing the rounds, the school outfitters banned him and his image was circulated so that no one else would sell him school uniform.

The men aren't just wearing dresses or even school uniforms, they wear the actual school uniforms of the local schools.

The harassment and the loitering can be policed.

CagneyNYPD1 · 08/09/2025 23:00

If this is real (and I’m not sure it is) then it’s just wrong. On so many levels. And definitely aim d at making girls feel uncomfortable. Pushing their boundaries. Disgusting.
