Quite how the Met’s officers have been educated to reach the conclusion that an arrest was necessary in this case is a question that needs to be answered. Who are the “stakeholder” groups that have delivered training to officers on “Trans” issues? How many other similar – but non-celebrity – cases have there been? As US Supreme Court Justice Louis Brandeis once said, “the light of day is the best disinfectant”.

The lunatic that was playing the music was sitting calmly in a chair, apparently making obscene hand gestures to the women at the protest, whilst his two police minders stood in front of him offering protection. It’s so unbelievably absurd and disgusting I don’t have any words.

It tells them that women don’t matter, in a world where we experience an epidemic of VAWG, it tells women that they should not expect any protection from men at any time. It’s horrifying.

And the obvious retort to that is: how was he supposed to know how old SB was? The looming man filming everyone? From the look of him in the clips I have seen, he could easily have beeen in his early to mid twenties.

Indeed. It's an old school criminal gang tactic. Send a youngster to intimidate or beat up someone (surrounded by older ones) and if the victim responds claim such and such hit a teenager.

Also a bonding / initiation strategy for teenager or younger into the gang.

Evidently these close up photos were being used to track down and threaten the women attending. We aren't stupid. I'm impressed the women stayed so calm.

I read the full thread on Twitter about Glinner’s Tweets and actions and thought he doesn’t have a hope, but then this afternoon made it abundantly clear that this obnoxious young man is such a piece of work that even the judge might conclude Glinner was pushed beyond the point of reason. I hope he comes over well when he gets his chance in court. Is calling someone a sociopath problematic when they actually are a sociopath?

Channel 4 don’t seem to want any viewer to understand that GL was specifically referring to men refusing to leave women’s toilets in his if-all-else-fails-even calling the police- then hit them in the balls tweet. They did not quote what he said, they simply ‘reported’ that he tweeted against trans people.

On a separate point, but also in imo a misuse of language, they said Giorgio Armani was said to be the ‘richest known LGBTQ person in the world’, instead of the richest gay man ( if they must point out his personal life), or, just one of the richest people.
