I don't think he's thick as much as totally emboldened by all the years we've had of people like him being able to say and do anything not just with impunity, but with a Teflon coating of praise and adulation for being liberal and progressive and Right Side Of History. In plain sight, all of them.

but emboldened by Glinner's arrest, surely it is time we screenshot and archive posts like that by politicians (or prominent people) and then send them to their organisation (eg Lib Dems) and the police with the comment "thank goodness people can get arrested for this, pls action these tweets"

and stand back and see what happens? (I am not talking about malicious reporting, i am talking about reporting actual threatening posts. I mean we have about a year's worth of work if we just cover pictures of Pride marches and LWS events)

the IDEA that any of them wouldn't blab like a gushing fountain is hilarious.
