It's not actually illegal for men to use women's toilets.

It's illegal for toilet's labelled as women's only to be open to both sexes (often with the caveat than boys under 8 allowed). If 'women's toilets' are provided they should be single sex. It is illegal for the provider to then allow men into them making them mixed sex without amending the sign. This is direct discrimination on the basis of sex which is illegal.

It's is illegal for employers not to provide single sex toilets for their staff under the 1992 regs.

Any man in a woman's toilet, whatever his inner feelings, knows he is breaking the rules and his presence is intimidating to women. Those providing the toilets should therefore ensure this doesn't happen.

There are multiple social media posts of trans identifying men in women's toilets which are aggressive and sexual, which is presumably the tip of the iceberg of the illegal harassment actually going on in toilets, and yet none of these men have been arrested by the police.

Men in women's toilets are committing voyeurism and sexual harassment if not indecent exposure.

You’re a lecturer?

Bold assumption 😀

Pluvia · 03/09/2025 10:41

@whatwouldafeministdo is absolutely right. If it says Women or Ladies of Female on the door, only women are allowed within — and by women, I mean biological XX chromosome women, as specified by the Supreme Court. Stonewall and all its cronies told men they could use whichever facilities they preferred. Stonewall were offering illegal advice. It has never ben legal for a man to enter a women's toilet unless they are working there — cleaning, plumbing etc — or a male child.

You’re a lecturer?

Could be one of Jo Phoenix's vile colleagues at the OU. Do yo remember what smug, pompous gits they were? I do!

Well no, I don’t think they have been ‘instructed by the government’ to do any such thing. In fact they’ve been instructed by the government, and reiterated quite clearly today by Starmer, that they should be prioritising actual crimes and not arresting for tweets

The reality seems to be possibly, hopefully temporarily, somewhat worse - that the Met is not acting in accordance with what the democratically elected politicians are now saying, rather some of the senior ranks are still so institutionally captured that they’re still indulging in this sort of ridiculous behaviour.

The Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan, instructs the Met on priorities, I guess guided by his party, Labour. Starmer currently has no idea what’s going on in any part of his government, so I wouldn’t really put much confidence in any of his public statements. He’s under attack on all sides and is just trying to placate the public with BS.

Has there been any comment from Khan, I wonder? (I’m not on X, I don’t know how he does his comms)

I can almost imagine the headlines now

"Woman in court for assaulting transwoman in the women's changing room"

Mrs XX was arrested for the assault of Miss XY in January in this year.

Mrs XX (5'0") says she felt intimidated and harassed by Miss XY (6'2") and called them a man and told them to leave the changing room.

Miss XY, who claimed under oath she was a biological female, said she was being discriminated against and didn't recognise the guidance of the EHRC and that it violated her rights.

Mrs XX who was accompanied by her 14 year old daughter at the time of the incident claims that her daughter became distressed at Miss XYs appearance .

Miss XY says that the daughter should not have been looking and that, as a 14 year old, she is responsible for her own actions and claims this is sexual harassment of a transwoman.

Mrs XX says that after Miss XY squared up to her shouting transphobia and blocked her exit from the changing room, she did "knee him in the balls" as she feared for safety and that of her daughter as per the advice shared on Twitter by Graham Lineham and her female friends.

Mrs XX's legal representative posed the question to the court about why Miss XY was present in the changing room in the first place despite a Supreme Court ruling that cited that transwomen should be restricted from entering single sex provision on the grounds of women's human rights to privacy and dignity.

Barrister X also highlighted Miss XYs extensive twitter posting in which she has appeared in photos and video holding a sign saying "Kill all terfs" and that JKRowling should be arrested for human rights abuses. She also cited tweets in which Miss XY had called for Wes Streeting to be sacked for supporting the Darlington nurses, numerous photos of themself in women's changing rooms, calls for action to disrupt lesbian only meetings as well as X rate adult photos of themselves publicly available as well as retweeting various Freeman of the Land posts. These were all shown to the court. Miss XY has said that she would "die defending transwomen's rights"

Miss XYs representative says that the incident has lead to their client almost attempting suicide and the case highlighted the terror that transwomen had to endure every day merely for being slightly different. "If this had been a black woman who had been assaulted no one would be being so bigoted as to suggest this was my clients fault. The EHRC guidance is akin to apartheid and my client was right to resist such measure as they were unlawful".

They further cited plans to take the matter to the ECHR.

Miss XY explained that her harrowed appearance and five o'clock shadow was the result of being blocked by her GP from recieving laser treatment on the NHS and she was desperately trying to save money to go privately. "The way the NHS insists that transwomen declare their sex and go through having to justify their need for surgery and procedures is part of the process of trans genocide."

Mrs XX says that she had previously spoken to management about transwomen at the centre and that she had been told that the centre had a fully inclusive policy and that gender neutral facilities were freely available. Her legal representative, however, stressed that membership application forms did not include the word sex and their inclusion policy cited 'gender' only which was not in line with the Equality Act.

The manager of Healthy Living Fitness Centre said that they had taken extensive advice on how to handle such matters and it was not up to their staff to conduct genital inspections of their customers when they took membership.

The case continues...

Unfortunately we are already dangerously close to this and this made up story really isn't that far removed from reality.

Meanwhile, Helen Webberley posted this on twitter which ends with a clock, police car and coffin emoji.

Screenshot attached in case the post is deleted.

ErrolTheDragon · 03/09/2025 11:06

A more accurate version of the story Toothbrush predicts would probably be that MrsXX remembered Glinners tweet and thought, bloody hell no I don’t dare actually punch this bloke.

Is that you, Stephen? How is Tarquin?

Thanks for the clarification, I’d missed that.

SidewaysOtter · 03/09/2025 11:19

Christ alive, I go away from the thread for 24 hours only to come back and find that I'm agreeing with LOJ, who may or may not be right-wing now. Strange times.

With regards Glinner's tweets, one read "“A photo you can smell.”". I can remember Horse and Hound magazine publishing a quote from (IIRC) the Countryside Alliance joking about the Lush boycott when Lush started donating to the hunt sabs. The quote was along the lines of "I doubt they'll make up for lost sales there, the sabs aren't the sort of people who use soap much".

Didn't see the Met piling out to make arrests then... Mind you, CA members have probably got more guns than the Met Grin

(And I still can't see how “A photo you can smell” is an incitement to violence Hmm )

Graham Linehan to sue Met Police over trans tweet arrest

Fantastic! It's only just been published but so far 100% of the comments are supportive

ItsCoolForCats · 03/09/2025 11:24

This is all great sunlight on this issue. I think Graham's "punch them in the balls" comment has made some people realise who we are talking about here in female changing rooms. Not delicate "dolls" who have had all the surgery and made every effort to pass yada yada, but male-bodied people with male genitalia. Or as we used to call them - men.

As others have said, the fact that police are armed at airports isn’t the point here. It’s not ‘well they weren’t going to shoot him, they just carry them anyway.’ It’s the decision to arrest him at one of the very few places where police are armed.

Glinner is currently living in America where armed police are the norm - but that’s not the case here. We’re not used to seeing & interacting with armed police, I find the sight of them slightly unnerving.

The authorities could have approached him at numerous other locations. Was ‘Sarah Jane’ punch a terf Baker arrested in a similar fashion? Happy to be corrected if he was.

I think it was very strategic, all about the optics, & a warning. Hopefully it’s spectacularly backfired, & I hope Glinner decides to sue the arse off them. I’ll certainly contribute towards that.

The police who arrested SJB treated him with kid gloves. There was footage online of it a couple of years ago.

Yes, the idea that taking a self defense class and then putting your learned skills into practice at an appropriate time is pre meditated violence was particularly batshit.
