Get the popcorn folks. GLP is getting ready to lose again.

They are going after barrister Sarah Phillimore for referring to a man as a man. They think they are going to lawfare her into silence.

The only thing is other TAs have already tried this on Phillimore multiple times. They went to the Bar Council their claims were dismissed. They all failed. More to the point this ‘Kate’ is the same guy complaining again who already failed. Sarah Phillimore knows the law and likes explaining it to TAs and making them lose. So she doesn't even resent the attempt.

As Sarah has stated "They pick on someone who not only enjoys this but has now a vast repository of knowledge about the law in this area."

I've found this on YouTube, right title and people, but it's not recent, it's 8-months old:

I've tried listening to that interview (if it's the one I found), but I have to stop, because it's so damn boring! I have random discussions with my sister that are more structured and less meandering than this so-called interview. All they do is jump from one topic to another: "Oh, and that person, oh, and this topic." They don't focus on anything, not even on so-called terfs since they also discuss what's going on in the US.

Also, I wanna lodge a complaint: I'm more than halfway through, and so far they haven't adressed either of the topics mentioned in the title. They don't explain how to "destroy terfs" nor how to "influence people". It's all "Boo, poor us, we're being put on witch trials, which is so unfair because we're such great and intelligent people." yawn

Though the part about children being intelligent and knowing so much felt juuuust a tad bit creepy. "You're so mature for your age" is a classic compliment used by sexual predators - but then these "ladies" were never little girls on whom this weapon is used, so they wouldn't know...

All of this I hope to explore in other arenas and in detail. It simply cannot be right that the article 10 rights of one group are fettered on the demand of another group, which itself engages in harassment and abusive speech. Either the Good Law Project knows nothing about the activities of the man they champion as a fragile and vulnerable victim - or they don’t care? Which is worse?
