The fact that someone ( me ) sees something amusing about merkins, which lets face it are pretty unusual, and the first thing they think of is Elaine is testament to how much of a mark her protest left in my mind. Elaine's protest didn't last long, but she left a huge lasting impression and I will always remember her protest through humour. As well as associate merkins with Elaine Queen Of The Merkins.

No screaming, no shouting, no pouring piss over herself or others, just a woman who won't wheesht, causing embarassment for the pompous idiots she was protesting against.

I’m sure I sure some Hairy J Blige on there as well. Partial to a bit of Lady GaGarden myself, mind.
