RMW claims he had never been challenged on his use of women's loos before - well, now he has, and the HoC has acknowledged it was wrong to allow him into those facilities.

House of Commons says sorry after trans barrister uses ladies’ loo

Robin Moira White was attending a parliamentary committee meeting about the Supreme Court ruling that defined a woman according to biological sex

Doubt it makes RMW feel safe in the men's loo.

So what?
He can go into the loos appropriate to his sex

" Why would he ask for directions again when he had already been there once."

Because it was not really asking, it was performative.

Those special validation feelz are where it's at, kids.

Seriously? In the House of Commons?

Everybody there knows Robin is male.

What possible reason could he have for not using the men's??

Twice.

“We got to the end of the select committee and they directed me [again] to the facilities I used.”

This does not sound like a true statement. Why would he ask for directions again when he had already been there once.

Personally, I think it's a spot of buck passing. Which in fact is exactly what happened.

I was told to go there!

Doubt it makes RMW feel safe in the men's loo.

It’s not up to women to make male people ‘feel safe’ in the men’s loo.

Maybe go and scold the men for not being inclusive enough to gender non confirming people of their own sex?

murasaki · 14/06/2025 23:13

Everyone knows RMW is male. And should have been directed to the male or mixed loos. As RMW spends an awful lot of time on many media platforms saying 'I'm a transwoman' , and the only prerequisite for that is being male. There's no hiding going on here, just egregious law breaking.

Toseland · 14/06/2025 23:14

I think Robin Barry White was hoping for a moment like when JK Rowling destroyed Humza Yousefs hate crime bill.

moto748e · 14/06/2025 23:27

I used to think that you had to be really smart and clever to be a barrister. Or, say, the CEO of Amnesty International. But, it seems not. 🤔

SageHoney · 14/06/2025 23:45

Unless there's some missing context here, like that the ladies' loos were on the same floor as the meeting room and the unisex and men's were on a different floor and the lift was out of service, this seems like a manufactured issue. And IF the unisex and men's were indeed inaccessible then Kate and Heather did exactly what the HoC staff should have done: alerted the women using the loo just as you would if, say, all the other loos were out of service and everyone needs to temporarily use the women's.

To quote a former Prime Minister, "simples".

Doubt it makes RMW feel safe in the men's loo.

RMW will still feel safer in the men's loos than most women will feel if they encounter RMW in the women's. He's quite large.

Women are not unconsenting emotional support animals for scared men.

I note the lack of concern for women scared by men in their loos.

Boiledbeetle · 15/06/2025 02:22

Thank God we never again have to listen to Robin witter on about how Robin's never been stopped/ questioned/ no one actually minds (however Robin wants to word it) going into women only spaces. You have now Robin, so be a good chap and just stay out of them from now on.

ARichtGoodDram · 15/06/2025 04:34

Doubt it makes RMW feel safe in the men's loo.

Then he should campaign for a safe loo that he can use (or in this case just use the gender neutral loos available).

Him feeling unsafe in the men's doesn't give him the right to make women feel unsafe in the women's

Doubt it makes RMW feel safe in the men's loo.

How about White and friends at Stonewall now pivot to campaign for making male toilets safe for all male people then? That would be a positive outcome that benefits so many.

In the House of Commons?

What is it about other men that are 'unsafe' for him?

QuiteUnbelievable · 15/06/2025 06:59

@BiologicalRobot I like that, maybe we should all write to the hoc asking if training courses are available for the security staff and white to reeducate them like women had to endure except this time it's based on reality

Let’s draft the training course:
”If someone with a baritone voice says they are “somatically female” which toilet should you direct their hulking frame towards?

A reminder that despite all the modifications he's had done to his body, he's still one of them?

Seriestwo · 15/06/2025 07:27

You know what strikes me about this? Kate and Heather are both capable, articulate, confident women - but they went together to tell RMW to keep out of our spaces.

I think that is wise, we can’t assume that people will be mild mannered when they are learning how to hear “no”.

GailBlancheViola · 15/06/2025 07:36

No excuse, RMW knows the Law and should have corrected whoever told RMW to use the Ladies that RMW wanted directions to the Gender Neutral or Mens as per the SC ruling.

Not surprised they went together if only one they would have been subjected to the full He said, She said rhetoric and RMW would expect RMW's version of events to be believed as RMW is a Barrister. RMW tried this path even though there were two, imagine what RMW would have said had there only been one.

Safe? By all accounts he’s a very big built, tall man, I don’t think the poor pet is in any danger from anyone.

Seriestwo · 15/06/2025 07:49

That’s a fair point, rather than wondering if Robin’s impressive frame could become threatening when he hears something he doesn’t want to, take someone go can give a corroborating account.

If alone record a voice note or download otter and get a transcript of what is said.

what wild times these are.

outofdate · 15/06/2025 07:52

You can put a wig and a dress on but oh dear that pesky prostate…

JustFish · 15/06/2025 07:57

Toseland · 14/06/2025 17:16

Oh hasn't Robin been clever - what fun he's had! He's made sure to attend on a day when he knows he's likely to be challenged or cause upset. He's asked the staff each time (unnecessarily) so that he can say "the staff told me to go there" and he has a 'get out of jail' medical requirement card to back him up just in case.

Yes, asking multiple times works well for RMW - as a challenge or chance to provoke confrontation with Hoc staff, as a demand for validation, and if course giving the plausible deniability of an excuse for using the wrong sex facilities.

Well done to Kate and Heather for confronting the behaviour, warning other women in the facilities and alerting hoc staff.

Can safety really be invoked as an excuse for not using the men's or unisex provision at the Hoc of all places - where you have presumably a vetted and security checked clientele and support staff/security staff on hand at all times?

Seriestwo · 15/06/2025 08:01

when is Allison Bailey’s appeal? It is coming soon, isn’t it? And RMW is representing stonewalls?

QuiteUnbelievable · 15/06/2025 08:02

@Seriestwo we need the laugh emoji back.
Course level 1 then level 2 male anatomy
