Rabbit rescue targeted by TRAs

I saw Rosie Duffield tweet about this the other day. A charity that rescues rabbits has been coming under attack from TRAs. I'm not entirely sure what their 'crime' is; I think it's to do with an account they have followed. Which makes them actual Nazis of course 🙄

Two thoughts arise here. The peron who started the pile on is running another rabbit rescue, as mentioned in one aggressive post.
And the rabbits would have no difficulty with the trans issue, being able to tell the difference between a buck and a doe with no difficulty.

What a shitty thing to do to people rescuing rabbits, the most neglected and ill treated pet according to every vet I speak to. I’ll be following them.

You may jest, but I just walked past a woman with a small white dog on a lead that was dyed half blue and half pink on the ears and tail. I'm not even kidding.

Ok, I will admit that I did once have a rainbow dog, briefly. He was a miniature poodle, and I had two toddlers who enjoyed sidewalk chalk. Doggie lay down on one of the drawings with amusing results and one thing led to another... but we did give him a bath eventually 😁

OP is unclear about this. Accusations are being made but I don't see any evidence of this.

I did see a post by them however saying they aren't TERF or pro-trans, they are just an account about bunnies. However I don't know what led to them posting that.

Was it about their habit of following their followers back? And they inadvertently followed someone who was posting nazi content? I tried to find what sparked it all off and couldn't work it out except for who they were following. As they said, they don't check and they just follow back. They are only in it to spread the bunnylurve! And what lovely rabbits they have too!

Those rabbits are so very cute- there's even one that looks my (long departed) old bunny. And the pup left on their doorstep is also very sweet

The main culprit went on a deleting spree yesterday after a lot of pushback and has now locked his account, poor dear. 🙄I saw the harassment unfold in real time and it was unconscionable - pure bullying of an innocent small account that wouldn't obey the orders it was given to bend the knee.

Well I can't comment on something if there's nothing to see.

There's still nastiness to be found in replies from a couple of days ago, but it's been swamped by a huge outpouring of support. An excellent example of the law of unintended consequences. 😊

AFAIK that was part of it, as was reposting one of JKR's posts which they were bullied into deleting. However they did not comply with the order to post a pledge only ever to post trans-supportive messages (I kid you not). The poor guy who runs the account was truly bewildered by the level of venom he encountered.

I'm very grateful to the TRAs. I didn't know what my twitter feed needed was a bunny eating a strawberry. My life is now complete.
