I saw Rosie Duffield tweet about this the other day. A charity that rescues rabbits has been coming under attack from TRAs. I'm not entirely sure what their 'crime' is; I think it's to do with an account they have followed. Which makes them actual Nazis of course 🙄 This is their X account. They have quoted that bunnies do not care about pronouns. This might be enough to make TRAs say that bunnies and their rescuers are total Nazis.

I'm wondering if we can weaponise this nonsense. Are there any other small charities out there needing a circulation boost, who could perhaps 'accidentally' piss off a TRA nutter, and trigger a pile on? We could really do some good here 😂

Just to say the bunny rescuers have just posted on Twix that they've received nearly £5.5K in donations in the last 3 days. I've also seen posts from people who are now monthly subscribers. I do love a happy ending. 😊

On X the original charity (Carrot Cottage) said another charity has now had issues through supporting them. I cannot see how to link in but it's the Tranquil Rabbit Sanctuary. This charity has posted, "If you hate certain other people who follow this channel then kindly add comments to their posts directly.
Please don't use my long eared children as a proxy battleground for your contests with others who have different political views to your own. This is simply a rabbit sanctuary, nothing more.
For 8 years I've kept this operation running on my modest life savings, but those savings have now all gone and I'm purely reliant on the kindness and generosity of people who genuinely care about the wellbeing of these innocent little rabbits, I'm relying on all of you for help.
These buns desperately need all the financial help possible and if I lose half of my already small following, then that's it, the end of this sanctuary. And what will become of the buns ? Well, there's nowhere else for them to go, they're all here in the first place because no one else wanted them.
From those here who're now 8 years old, through to those only a few months, and those I adopted, brought home and hand reared with milk from teat-pipets and syringes because their mother had died. What will happen to them if you continue causing people stop following us.
Euthanasia, that's what... because there's simply nowhere else for them to go.
Is that what you want ?
And the two of you four (you know who you are) who've contacted me more than once in the past to ask my advice on matters relating to rabbit behaviour and medical issues, why have you suddenly turned on me, turned on the little ones here ? "

Such lovely oppressed people who just have to bully and attempt to shut down small, volunteer run, animal welfare organisations.

The cruelty and spite of TRAs knows no bounds. No care or consideration for the animals that will be impacted by their sheer nastiness. Repulsive individuals.

I followed Carrot on Facebook before all of this and rabbits are such a mistreated animal anyway it makes me so angry that they simply don’t care about anything else

Rabbit rescue is a fairly close knit world of people knowing each other and supporting each other to do what is a thankless task

I've read something about the Kate Davies issue before. So much for the apparently innocuous activity of knitting in a community. For years it's attracted a toxic morass of hateful activism that seeks to ruin people's livelihoods if they put so much as a toe out of line.
