'Right, I am about to write about sex. Cos fuck it. A little while ago I wrote about an event I was doing, and excited about doing, and everyone lost their shit. Well, not everyone, one person lost their shit. One person who has now decided to spend all their free time stoking hatred for me because, apparently, having hobbies and being excited about them is ‘grotesque.’
Said person has now agreed that, apparently, it’s fine if it’s your event that is sexual. For example; anyone who does underwear protests is apparently fine, because they’re meant to be sexual, but apparently if you come to other people’s events and are ‘sexual’ then it’s bad. Yet the event I did, that wasn’t sexual in anyway, was my fucking event.
It’s rather funny. A post I made, knowing that it would upset bigots—and specifically saying I would get backlash for, has done exactly what I knew it would. I knew I shouldn’t do it, because a few bigots who hate me would use it against me, but I thought it would be an interesting litmus test for our community.
Well, we finally got our backlash, I got a DM saying I was banned from We Stand for the Animals. Why? Well there’s a list of reasons. One is not wearing black at an event, which I am sure was thrown in for good measure, but since I wasn’t the only one that clearly wasn’t relevant.
A second was because I asked for a bigot to be banned from WSTFA. I believe their response was that they don’t want to ban people because it harms the movement and we should care about the animals, not people’s opinions.
And the third was because I, apparently, have hobbies and write about them on the internet.'
