We've got our sitcom premise.

I could see that as the final scene in Father Ted The Musical

Or the last chapters of HP and The Deathly Hallows…

aylis · 24/05/2025 16:53

So what if JK 'trash talked' Stonewall? They're not a by-word for 'gay people'. They're a corporation-chasing fund sucker issuing top-down decrees.

I was thinking Lord of the Rings.

The fight ends when JKR successfully sends India Willoughby off in pursuit of decoy patches that are actually postage stamps but he doesn't realise because he thinks they are not small, but far away.

rebmacesrevda · 24/05/2025 17:01

Mrs Doyle forces them to drink so much tea, they can't continue fighting and have to admit defeat by running into the gents for an emergency wee.

CapitalAtRisk · 24/05/2025 17:11

American has now woken up to the news. Here's a reply to Alejandra Caraballo (a prominent TRA) saying JKR is eeeevil and not to like Harry Potter any more:

It's wild the way folks hang on to literature they enjoyed as a child, as if children aren't famously & uniquely stupid (bc of the whole underdeveloped brain thing)

You're SO CLOSE to understanding!

Does JoJo actually get to submit an FOI request to an individual with big pockets given it's not a charity?

He said a subject access request. Isn't that about an individual?

Which individual is he hoping to get information about? Himself?

And can you administer one of those to a private individual?

Steve3742 · 24/05/2025 17:30

I'm sort of wondering if it's women only. I mean, the name kind of implies that, but there's nothing in the eligibility criteria on the website. I may put an application in for my case.

I don't think anyone will mind if you contact them and ask.

Datun · 24/05/2025 17:41

Oh I see everyone else is talking about the SAR too.

I don't think Jolyon even knows what one is.

I don't know about JKR, but I would be really grinning today. These men losing their fucking shit has got to be quite satisfying.

Pretending they're akcherly sad for her, that she used to ask them for advice, they were once social media friends, (lol, he's transparently desperate to achieve those three degrees of separation).

And she's gone spoilt it all by the hateful genociding left, right and centre.

I don't think there's been a bigger show up of these men since this whole thing began.

Brainworm · 24/05/2025 17:57

It’s interesting to see JoMo’s reaction.

JKR is clear that she will provide financial support in a strategic way…..to enable case law to establish the precedents needed to force service providers to follow the SC ruling. Her clear intention being to secure single sex provision for females.

JoMo boasted that he has a cunning plan to spend the £300k+ crowd funded money (I’m not sure what the total is) in a top secret way that will create a legal precedent for trans people to use whichever single sex provision they choose. Has he been losing sleep that those pesky terfs will ruin his cutting plan through dumbing SARs to him?

murasaki · 24/05/2025 18:05

I did see two job adverts for the Good law project recently, at 45 and 50 k, so with on costs that's a fair chunk gone already, even if only for a year.

I believe JoMo's pitch to the trans community is "an undertaking of great advantage, but nobody to know what it is"

anyolddinosaur · 24/05/2025 18:14

SARs are for information organisations hold about you. It would be amusing if the reply was nothing, you are not as interesting as you think you are.

BunburyInATizz · 24/05/2025 18:17

Splendid woman.

It’s a shame the thread is permitting an intentional derail.

GargoylesofBeelzebub · 24/05/2025 18:26

I have just sent Jo an email of thanks.

And as she requested I have emailed my MP and MSPs reiterating my support for the Supreme Court decision. Oh and also pointing out that women will be taking legal action to make sure it is complied with. 😈

Worriedandsuspicious · 24/05/2025 18:31

She really is amazing 😍

Do you have a form of words I can crib for my MP please? Not good at this stuff

😆yep!! It must infuriate him that he’s (in his own mind) such a clever important legal jaynius and yet an actual woman has out thought him (again)

I absolutely love JKR and she is astoundingly clever, but for her it must be like shooting fish in a barrel when dealing with JM and IW, they’re really not the brightest are they? 😂

Go on, go on, go on, go on, Mrs Doyle is such a brilliant character 😂

We'll see.

I look forward to seeing a repeat of Alison Bailey over and over.

Guess I could get some popcorn and roasted marshmallows (an overused joke Rowling likes to make a lot) to watch all the failed cases from gender critical activists now with a lot of money take up lawsuits against anyone they just dislike.

You might want to look up Naomi Cunningham, her win rate is the stuff of dreams and probably nightmares, for people like you and Joly boy. You might want to check the use by date on your popcorn 🍿

Just had a glance at how they're celebrating this on Reddit, found this amazing comment:

Everything I've been reading about the FWS case in the SC suggests it was bullshit and that they didn't have any legal argument

For my own amusement I'm assuming it's Jolyon's alt account.

zenas · 24/05/2025 18:49

Delicious... TRA la la la la.

I hope the Brighton Dad (maybe via his daughters) and the poster Sarah can successfully avail of JKR's largesse and win - for all of us. There may be others but those are two I recall from here.

Thank you JKR, a diamond shining for all of us.
