The Bluestocking: where conversation should supersede cards

The Blue Stockings Society was founded by women emphasising education and mutual cooperation. Men could attend as invited guests, but in this Women's Pub, they are only welcome to peer enviously through the windows.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blue_Stockings_Society

All women welcome!

All tastes catered for.

All food containing calories will not increase waistlines.

All drink containing alcohol will not intoxicate beyond the mildy merry and slightly inhibited stage. Guaranteed no hangovers.

Don't mind the gerbils, hamster, capybaras, quokkas and other assorted rodents. They're all female, all staff and very accommodating...

Blimey you lot don't half talk fast! I can't keep up! I'm exhausted!

@Chersfrozenface emergency Tunnocks for you. Would you like extra gerbils with those? Although, you're getting them whether you want them or not!

The gerbil top right looks the very opposite of comforting and relaxing! And do I spy a man in the background?!

Britinme · 31/01/2025 21:53

They don't sell Tunnocks in this benighted country :-(

I for one welcome our gerbil overlords if they're going to bring restorative Tunnocks.

<slurps G&T and enjoys being fanned>

Chersfrozenface · 31/01/2025 21:57

I wonder whether one can get Tunnocks on prescription. They've got a bit expensive in the supermarkets and we get free prescriptions here.

A box of 36 should last 12 days (3 times a day, after meals). Say 3 boxes on a 4-week repeat script.

FuzzyPuffling · 31/01/2025 21:18

Apropos of nothing, I got some reading glasses from Amazon yesterday. 3 pairs plus a pair of reading sunglasses for just over a tenner. They are blooming amazing.

In the modern vernacular, I'm well jel! My glasses cost over a grand, and most of that is the lenses.

Probably better for your mental wellbeing than some prescriptions!

Glossing over the details...

AI can't distinguish between me l-like people and women-like people.

I've also discovered I only have a limited number of AI images a month via Microsoft Designer, so I've had to create another account. There is another free image generator but it only gives me one image at a time and doesn't save my "creations".

It's a new change! I'm back on copilot having spent all my designer credits on opening night!

So it's possible to use Copilot to get unlimited images? I always love what you come up with. Can you share your prompt for your latest image?

Seems to be. Only one image at a time, so I just cut and paste the prompt until it gives me something vaguely resembling what I asked for.

Depict a beetle dressed in scrubs writing a prescription for "Tunnock's - take 1 after each meal"

Did it three times

Me too, Designer snatched away all of my "credits" so I couldn't make any images for the last couple of weeks ... grumpily tried copilot again ... results are a bit meh .. now considering making my own pictures.

Me me me it's all about me.

I'm impressed with your beetle! I look at magazines and can see nothing in them, and never could make art from them. My brain doesn't seem to work that way (probably why decoupage is beyond me as well)

<goes off to break into Inky's house to steal the priceless work of art sat on her crafting table>

Boily finds herself a bit peckish and can't resist a nibble of the Tunnocks teacake...

Will she ever get to inky's house?
