Can I come in and curl up by the fire with an old spaniel and a good book? I haven’t been in for a long time so I don’t know where the Qokka’s and puffins come into it and I don’t actually own an old spaniel but I identify as a spaniel owner.

I think it was in the Faroes that a friend had the disconcerting experience of seeing puffins neatly packaged and covered with clingfilm in the supermarket meat section.

Monks used to eat puffins on Friday as they claimed they were fish not meat.

Puffins use monks bald pates for target practice.
