I've heard there's a magic door in the Bluestocking, & if you walk through it your clothes, no matter how crumpled, magically become pristine again. I think it's past the armoury, down the stairs just beyond the glass-blowing studio, & third door on the left. But I might be wrong.

Could it also make me a stylish size 12, instead of a rather too casual.16?

The knitting is easier than it looks - the real skill is in the design, not by me, especially if you like Maths. All I do is follow the pattern.

Oh dear Lord. I had 2 books on Scottish shawl patterns & techniques several Christmasses ago, along with some lovely metallic sheen yarns, because obviously I'd easily replicate a gorgeous one I'd seen on ravelry. Well, not yet I haven't. I get the books out, read them... & put them away again.

I used to do leafy, holey patterns. But I'm scared to try now. Pathetic. Maybe a few chocquoktails will stiffen my resolve. Or send me too sleep, & then I won't care.

I saw a large box of Tunnocks today out in the wild, as it were, not in a shop. Just invitingly placed there, waiting for people to help themselves.
Unfortunately it was in a school boarding house, and the house matron was between it and me.
