Maybe people took him at his word? Though, when I searched for the thread above, I came across a number of threads complaining about wickes' quality and service, so that also won't have helped.

Perhaps my decision last week to go to Leland rather than Wickes for paint did make a difference!

I wonder, did they find the laydees aren't buying stuff from them? After all they're too weak to open jars, according to them, and DIY isn't exactly doing laydee things.

I don't go anymore.

Whether Homebase is any better? God knows, but I like a little wander in there.

I've boycotted them since and cancelled my kitchen consultation and told them why.

Every little helps and glad to see the culmination of our little protests.

I went to B&Q instead of Wickes recently. Getting quite a lot done this year. Probably also stonewalled, but I don't think they've said anything as crazy as Wickes did.

I remember this, never shopped with them since and bought our kitchen elsewhere.

This bigot had already dumped them over their dire kitchen service. They were just dreadful so these results are no surprise.

Couldn't happen to a more deserving bunch ! 🙂
