First item is the Hate bill and JK's tweets - they did invite her on but haven't heard back yet

For women Scotland will be on too.

I did wonder that exact thought.

Nitpicking being autocorrected to nutpicking made me wonder. It also isn't the first time.

I used "bathroom bills" as that's what they call them in States. We don't have legislation like that here, yet, so that was the test bed of what happens to GNC people and trans men when you use chromosome-based toilets.

Nutpicking is a logical fallacy.

Nutpicking

Nutpicking is the fallacious tactic of picking out and showcasing the nuttiest member(s) of a group as the best representative(s) of that group — hence, "picking the nut".

You do realise that there were single sex toilets for a long long time before gender identity theory became a thing, right?

Indignant Willyboaby is, being interviewed on BBC Scotland The Nine tonight if anyone's interested. (I have a dog to bath).

Sorry - this paint isn't going to watch itself dry . . . 😁

These many many pages of tedious mansplaining are a disincentive to any woman to have any man (even one in a dress) in her space, ever, lest he engage her in conversation.

Like the best jokes this is also 100% truth.

Disclaimer: the terms man/men/boy/boys/he/his/him and woman/women/girl/girls/she/hers/her below will refer to their sex-based meanings unless explicitly stated otherwise. The existence of alternative meanings is acknowledged but for clarity these alternative meanings are not intended or implied.

Women's single sex spaces, physical and conceptual, don't just exist to protect us from the physical threat some men (including some men who do not identity as men) pose, they also exist to protect us from the asymetric demands men place on our time and attention. To each individual man, his desire to engage an individual woman in conversation may seem like sinple friendliness but from the individual woman's perspective the cumulative effect of the time taken to be polite to all the men who want to engage her attention has a genuine cost in time and headspace she can spend on her own thoughts, needs and planning.

You do know how ridiculous it sounds when you say that toilets are " chromosome based"? Everyone, their auntie, and her next door neighbour knows that they are sex based.

Waitwhat23 · 03/04/2024 20:39

Whenever you say
'Toilets are chromosone based'
We're rolling our eyes.

I've never heard of the term nutpicking and thought it was a Freudian slip...

Now that I am better educated, it's interesting that the link DJ posted says that the essential questions are:

In other words: every movement has crazies, but not every movement is crazy. The proper questions are: "Does this movement promote crazies?" and "Does this movement have proportionately more crazies?"

In terms of gender ideology it's plainly apparent that the answers are YES and YES.

Consider gender ideology truly nutpicked.

Boiledbeetle · 03/04/2024 21:18

Hasn't on, aren't toilets porcelain based?

Waitwhat23 · 03/04/2024 21:28

Boiled has it spot on.
Porcelain not chromosome.
More sanitary.

@DadJoke just wondering why men are called 'transwomen'?
If a man decides to be a woman, then is his description not 'woman' ??

Does the fact that they need an extra word to describe a 'woman' ( i.e. 'transwoman') in itself not demonstrate that the term means a state of lacking being an actual woman ... the not-ness (that's now a word!) of being an actual woman? i.e. just a 'pretend' woman

JanesLittleGirl · 03/04/2024 22:41

I think that we should thank @DadJoke for his efforts on this thread. I have never seen so many new usernames posting against his arguments. He is the ultimate GC recruiting sergeant.

It’s trans woman - trans is an adjective. Outside of gender critical circles “woman” suffices.

dapsnotplimsolls · 03/04/2024 22:50

Shall I try for a 3rd time?

@DadJoke - why do you think single-sex spaces exist?

ErrolTheDragon · 03/04/2024 22:54

Nope. It really doesn't.

Outside of the genderist circle, woman still means adult human female, 'transwoman' is a sort of polite fiction for a small subset of males.
