Employers seem to be slow learners when it comes to women's rights! There’s another employment tribunal case being brought by a woman who attended and took the microphone at a Let Women Speak event in Belfast last year and has been treated very badly by her employer Belfast Film Festival as a result.

Looks like we’re going to have to keep gardening until they get the message.

disclaimer. I don’t know Sara and have no connection to BFF I’m just a woman who likes donating to causes that make a difference

Good to know. Her experience sounds awful. Hopefully like all the other women being treated so awfully over this issue, in time her abusers will get their comeuppance.

Tribunal dates update! Sara’s tribunal will take place between 10th and 21st November. TT will be transcribing 🙏

These tras need to be properly punished for threatening organisations and the organisations should realise that it won't pay to bow down to the ideology. In fact they will lose money. I'm disgusted that there are so many of these incidents. Still!

Thank you so much for the support! This is the case number btw 83/23FET Sara O’Gorman (Morrison) v Belfast Film Festival Ltd. Do send them an email - I’ve no clue about any of it tbh apart from that it’s in Killymeal House at the gasworks. My solicitor is trying to secure a bigger room at the min too. The email is [email protected] - I don’t think remote access will be likely but worth asking of course - my solicitor has told them there is a lot of interest heh.

To confirm - if you want to attend in person you need to email the Tribunal in advance. Assume it’s different to Scotland and England in that regard. I’ve done that and also asked for remote access (as I may not be able to attend all in person).
