Roz Adams was employed by Edinburgh Rape Crisis Centre (ERCC) as a counsellor. She is claiming constructive dismissal for Gener Critical (GC) beliefs. The CEO of ERCC is a well known transwoman known for, among other things, controversial "reframe your trauma" remarks.

Witness admits she hasn't considered it that way

The other two witnesses for ERCC will be giving a witness statement, rather than being questioned by Mr Hay to save time.

These are currently being produced. In England it is normal for members of the public to see the witness statements but I'm not sure about Scotland.

Witness would refuse to discuss biological sex of worker with service user

We would assure the SU that they would be seen by a woman but not able to confirm their biological sex.

@pronounsbundlebundle yes, and since I think the GRA needs repealing, I reckon the point that it is incredibly sexist legislation is important.

Yes. It will basically be the same as the system in England. So witness statement, questioned by NC, questions from the tribunal and cross alexamination.

NC: Do you understand why some people would consider that treatment of a rape victim (refusing to tell them that their support worker is female) would be gaslighting?

Wouldn't refer to Beira's place as not a charity and not local authority.

Good for NC getting that aspect heard, it is a huge tell of values and beliefs in that place.
