Checking in. Thanks.

'are you aware that some people believe that being a woman is to do with your body? '

Chrysanthemum5 · 19/01/2024 13:02

I think this witness is realising there is no good way out of this question - does a non-binary person have a biological sex?

Ereshkigalangcleg · 19/01/2024 13:02

Thank you!

Chrysanthemum5 · 19/01/2024 13:03

Thanks @nauticant

pickledandpuzzled · 19/01/2024 13:04

Thank you

nauticant · 19/01/2024 13:05

I've only mentioned 2 witnesses. Were there any more?

Would 'need advice' on whether NB people have a biological sex.

Uhm...

Rainbowshit · 19/01/2024 13:08

Thanks @nauticant !

Uhm...

Admitting ERCC is not fit for purpose if they can't even answer that question.

Boiledbeetle · 19/01/2024 13:13

I honestly think that whole NB line of questioning completely scuppered the witness. She basically at points agreed that the service users should know the truth I think, and that she would have to seek advice from higher up if an 'AMAB' non binary person was employed and the sex of worker question was asked.

Unicorn sex. That's what they have. (Ie non existent).

pronounsbundlebundle · 19/01/2024 13:14

Thanks for the new thread @nauticant

I was supposed to do some work / housework today. Ah well, this is more important. Maybe I'll login in / have a hoover while they lunch.

Froodwithatowel · 19/01/2024 13:16

Somewhat like the admin error. She will consult a higher power on what she should say, and then say it.

Is the court clear yet on the clash between zealotry, actual reality and the impact on service users?

stealtheatingtunnocks · 19/01/2024 13:18

Their witness would need to seek advice. Like Roz did.

IANAL, but I’d that a gotcha?

JollyJanuary · 19/01/2024 13:18

Massive thank you for threads and info x

GCITC · 19/01/2024 13:18

NC: what would you tell service users if an AMAB non binary person worked there?

MR: I don't know how that could happen...

What does that even mean??

And how would they even know, given that you can't ask about 'gender history'?

Brefugee · 19/01/2024 13:21

Also fancy not knowing Forstater. In Scotland in a service that is TWAW. How the fuck could anyone not know what the Forstater case meant?

nauticant · 19/01/2024 13:21

At this point NC is demonstrating that ERCC people don't know how they can apply their principles in practice.

And yet when someone working at ERCC, say RA, seeks clarification, look what happens.
