Podcast for schools on 'Trans Euphoria' in children

I've some across this podcast on twitter. It's by a male trans educational psychologist ,and seems to be a whole series for other educational psychologists and schools promoting gender ideology.

I've only listened to a bit of a couple of them so far, it seems to be using the concept of gender identity and linking to this to lots of 'research' and 'evidence.'

I'm going to try to listen to a bit more if I can bare it. I'm concerned that psychologists in schools are so openly promoting this dangerous nonsense.

Has anyone else come across this?

Do they happen to provide clickable links to the research? Or is it just saying that there is this research?m and never providing it?

RachelWalshsDog · 10/01/2024 10:18

They refer to research and call themselves a 'gender scientist'. They seem to focus on 'research' which is lived experience based. But I can't see any links on the podcast page.

What really worries me is that this is being shared by educational psychologists who run LA services, and who represent educational psychology in the British Psychological society.

Cora Sargeant the trans psychologist who produces this podcast, is a tutor at Southhampton Uni on the course whihc trains educational psychologists. Many of whom appear to do 'research' supervised by Cora.

This isn't a kooky outlier in eductaional psychology, this represnts the mainstream of the discource on trans kids in eductaional psychology.

I can't see any educational psychologists pushing back on the promotion of this.

My 10 year old came home the other day and said the school told them that he could become a woman if he wanted and that some people are "born in the wrong body". We've already been warning him beforehand that the school would pull this shit on him at some point so he came home incredulous that they would spout these lies to them. I still cannot believe we as parents are not allowed to pull them out of those lessons.

Yup

RachelWalshsDog · 10/01/2024 10:31

Hmm, interestingly educational psychologist Cora Sargeant who hosts this podcast on gender euphoria in children is the same person who talked about his erection and excitement when being treated by a pretty nurse....

This is just the sort of person we want training psychologists who work in schools...

That’ll be his ‘gender euphoria’ then!

I agree it's grim, but I think it should be given more attention as this person seems very influential in the educational psychology world.

Educational psychologists are working in schools and many children referred to them identify as trans.

There is also a pushback being led by the same edcuational psychologists who promote Cora, against the schools guidance. They are coordinating a response and encouraging schools to ignore it.

And agreed OP. Ed psychs can have a disproportionate impact on schools as they're identified as experts. When they allow their personal beliefs, fantasies or delusions to overtake their professional knowledge, it's a massive problem. FWIW, I've known some excellent ed psychs - and some who I wouldn't trust to empty a wastepaper basket.

Well, apparently we aren’t allowed to
point out that ‘Gender Euphoria’ is a euphemism for a particular fetish act anymore!

even though I linked to someone who worked in gender clinics for 15 years to show that I wasn’t making it up!

As a retired educational psychologist with many years experience of specialist SRE teaching and training I find this horrifying. I have also worked with young autistic people, many of whom wished to change gender (you cannot change sex) because they thought it would make their lives better. It is working with them to manage their autism which makes their lives better. Many psychologists have what are called gender critical views but dare not express them for fear of repercussions. I hope the recent Rachel Meade victory will help.
I would suggest you follow @Psychgirl211 for interesting information on this area.

Bloody hell.

This sort of thing is popping up all over the place.

And as I'm sure you well know, these are the sort of people who mostly work with REALLY vulnerable children with additional needs and all sorts of trauma.

I’ve started listening to the podcast and is it my imagination or does the host introduce hostself in the third person using a man voice, then swap to a lady-voice, then increasingly forget to do the lady-voice until hostself sounds exactly like the unnamed man-voice that did the OG introduction?

I'm a retired EP too.

I lurk on EP twitter and on here and am so concerned by what I see without any of the pushback trans promotion to children is getting in other areas.

It's like Ed Psychs are in an insular bubble getting away with a fetish man being the prominent voice and no one from inside the profession or outside is openly challenging it.

I may start a thread about educational psychology and my concerns more broadly.

OP posts:
RachelWalshsDog · 10/01/2024 12:39

Blimey the mods are out on this thread...interesting.

I've listened to bit of the 'euphoria' podcast: about his euphoria about wearing a bikini top in public for the first time, or how he sits around in sweatpants cuddling & embracing the 'emotional side of gender' (I'm not sure how men & women wear trackies and cuddle differently?), or how he gets 'giddy' when people call him 'miss'.

This person is training educational psychologists. It;s insane.

He also talks about his recent visit to the physio, I wondered if he got an erection again like he did with the nurse.
He didn't mention it this time if he did.

OP posts:
RachelWalshsDog · 10/01/2024 12:47

Now he's talking about when he wears a 'cute' outfit he can float around on a euphoric high all day.

When I wear a nice outfit I look in the mirror and think 'nice' and then get on with day. But I'm a mere women not a TW.

He talks like an AGP man who is getting kicks from making everyone comply with his cosplay and excited with the idea he is 'cute'/ sexually interesting.

He also talks about his girlfriend and their son and seems to have transitioned after the birth of the son.

He is training psychologists who work in schools and who work with 'trans' kids. He is being promoted as the expert in the EP world.

And no one is questioing it,
It's insane.

Perhaps they're Druids, never writing anything down, so that the unalterable law is whatever is best to fit the circumstance?
