One of the problems, of course, is that Izzard is no Tim Curry.

It's one thing identifying as a woman. It's quite another to put yourself in a movie which makes you look like you're doing the exact opposite.

I watched portrait artist of the year a few years ago

eddie did not look at all happy with any of the portraits…..the artists had painted exactly what they saw, not what eddie sees

I've just watched the trailer for this and it looked to me like a (really badly done) French and Saunders spoof.

Be fair Datun Tim Curry is a fucking high bar to set.

I've just watched the trailer and EI just appears to be playing only 1 character - which tbh if I came across someone looking like him in a big creepy house I'd be freaked out.

I thought the story was about Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde? Isn't he supposed to change into Mr Hyde as well???!!!

I think it would have been better if he'd played Dr Jekyll as himself and Mr Hyde as Trans Eddie then there would have been an obvious transformation.

Just watched the trailer, it is supposed to be a comedy, right?
The acting is appalling.

I think in the trailer they mention Nina Jekyll and Rachel Hyde? Might have got that wrong though...

If they do then it's a bit confusing for them both to look, sound and act like the same person.

I still think it would have been much better if he'd played Dr Jekyll as himself and Mr(s) Hyde as Trans Eddie then there would have been an obvious transformation - and there would have been a element of Psycho about it as well when Bates dresses up as his mum to do the murder.

They've missed a trick IMO.
