Could they really not find an actual woman? Eddie doesn't even look like a woman.

The change to female characters is interesting but why have they chosen a male actor to play them?

I used to love him, he was one of my favourite comedians. But this was the story that made me look twice. He’s so completely blind to his own power and privilege and ignored the fear and feelings of those girls.

I could understand if it was a trans role … but he’s supposed to be playing actual women?

Jekyll and Hyde? As in the affable chap who did lots of long slow runs for charity and invited people to run along with him, and his alter ego who likes to go into women's toilets and scare young girls? Yes, that makes perfect sense.

So, a man being a woman is playing the part of a man but who is being reimagined as a woman. And her name is Suzie but she is called Eddie for this part where she is playing a woman who was originally written as a man.

It is almost going back 5 hundred years, when women were not able to be on stage. And, the blokes did a facsimile of an actress.

Maybe Eddie could do the part of other animals too. Eddie could do horseface, and come galloping in as a horse. Just to show how versatile and novel he is.

It appears to me that they are not changing them to female characters if they are getting a bloke to play them.

This is my thought. It will almost certainly be very bad.

I suspect the casting is deliberate, and they are looking to say something in the story about transformation of the self.

It seems to me that it could be quite truthful in an odd way, if they aren't careful.

I'm getting really fed up of this shit.
