Alice Cooper has said what loads of people think but are too scared to say, and the cosmetics firm who produce his make up products have dropped him.

Yes, and FWIW I think that AH lied a hell of a lot in her testimony, and agree with the verdict. But I tend to find that the majority of TRA’s also support Amber Heard, so find their stance a bit hypocritical.

I think what he said is extremely sensible.

Frankly most people probably think the same: that kids are not mentally, and emotionally able to make the irreversible decision of suddenly wanting to change gender.

I think that is just common sense. Most of us remember how clueless we were as teenagers about so many things and much we change in our views/opinions when we grow up a bit.

I have nothing against people who choose to transition and fully support that but that really is a life-altering decision that should be made when the individual has had enough time to mature into an adult.

I really think we need to stop pandering to the ''cancelling'' of people who simply are voicing very valid opinions and only have the welfare of children at heart.

Quite amusing as well that I am a vegan, queer, rock music-loving woman so the type of people that the make-up company is claiming to represent and I have zero issues with Alice sharing these views on this...

Not always! I love David Gray’s update on Soft Cell’s “Say Hello, Wave Goodbye.” Heard it on the radio and went out to buy White Ladder. I hadn’t heard of David Gray, but had never liked Soft Cell. Sometimes a cover can open your eyes to how good a song is when it’s given a new feel.

Possibly. But i do try to listen to as many women's voices as possible because i like my music on the heavy side so it is a bit of a sausage fest.

I feel like there's something about class and the policing of gender here.
This sub-culture is more than fifty years old now. Male people happily indulging a love of make-up. These men are mostly working class, certainly not posh and not university types. The kids at Vampyre Cosmetics are from a different world entirely. Closely linked to the humanities departments of the most elite academies in the anglo-sphere. They're decades late to the game, but they're wedded to the idea that if a male person does something, like wearing make-up, that only female peope did in the USA in the 1950s, then he must shift existential categories. If he's old enough he gets all sorts of special priviledges and if he's young enough he must be prevented from going throuh puberty.
I have a habit of rabbiting on when I write on here, and I'm struggling to express my thoughts succinctly.
Sometimes I wish we had social science departments to look at this sort of stuff.
