Alice Cooper comments on medicalising children were publicised on August 23rd in Rolling Stone from comments made in a public interview.
August 25th he dropped a new album went straight to No 1 in indie charts.
He has still been on tour in the Freaks on Parade tour with Rob Zombie, Ministry and Filter over the last 8 days still big crowds. Film footage from concert on August 27th in Florida. Lots of people there.
Vampyr Cosmetics cancelled their deal with Alice a few days ago since then they got so much back lash they closed their social media. They were more "cancelled" than Alice was. There has been lots of talk/media over that, but it is meaningless when he is still filling concert venues, selling albums.
He hasn't commentated further, but hasn't retracted a word.
Alice proves what Gervais and Chapelle did, men can say whatever they want about gender stuff. They may get push back... Chapelle had the most, but if you push through it will not impact your popularity at all and moreover the gender mob will give up after a while. Because men can have opinions.
Compare what happened with Rosin. Her own label has turned on her over stuff she said in private basically very similar to what Alice said but way more casually. She had to give out a weird semi apology. Everyone is still swarming her.
It is frustrating, but the double standard will undermine them in the end. Because as JKR and many others proved if they utterly fail in cancelling a woman they melt down and get more and more obsessed. So they create bigger platforms for women who will speak out like Maya, Riley Gaines, Martina etc.
