It's marginally better than if he'd said, 'I'm sorry Rosie's upset' but I wouldn't call it an apology - yet.

As if "treatment" is some sort of spontaneous occurance, a force of nature like the wind or tides. Except it's not, is it, Wes? You and all those nasty zealots in the Labour party did the "treating".

He needs to explain the extent of his involvement in the Labour against transphobia Facebook group, run by Madigan and others.

it isn’t an apology, they must think women are stupid if they can bully Rosie for years and think that , that half arsed drivel goes anywhere near redressing what she has been through.

Wes Streeting is one of the very few politicians so far to offer anything like an apology. I'm sure there must be others but, at the moment, I can't think of a single one of them. Good job they never wasted their breath, isn't it?

I want to see apologies. Actual apologies that address how they've treated Rosie and other women. How women are born and not bloody worn.

Instead we get words rearranged in an order that they hope seems like an apology or an admission when it isn't.

Actual heartfelt apologies would be great. But there's been none of them.

That's not an apology. After all this time and all the abuse, that's an insult.

These politicians operate in a representative democracy, Tanith; they are not running personal autocracies. It is entirely in the public interest for this to be discussed by the women that this Labour policy disaster affects the most.
