This is sick twisted apologetics for terrorism. Maybe they think it's "self defence" because the "TERFs" are "trying to oppress them", so their aggression can be framed as being in defence.

This "hypothetical" thing seems to have been borrowed from Acting Police Sergeant Daniel Warner who allegedly dismissed a complaint by indicating that terfs would be punched in their fucking faces "in a hypothetical situation".

'Slide 1: The first slide is a screenshot of a tweet from Suella Braverman who is a Conservative MP which reads “I’m glad the police have decided to investigate this incident at a Trans Pride Event, having initially closed it with no further action. I’m sure the police will consider the evidence carefully.” The tweet links an article to the Daily Mail entitled “Sarah Jane Baker: Trans activist who called for attacks on TERFs.”

Slide 2: The second slide is a poster which calls to free Sarah Jane Baker. There will be an emergency protest outside of the Westminster Magistrates Court from 10am on Friday 14th of July.

Slide 3 and 4: These slides contain a statement from London Trans+ Pride which reads “Sarah Jane Baker has been arrested for “incitement to violence”. A demonstration in solidarity with her is being held tomorrow at 10am outside the Magistrate's Court in Westminster during her hearing.

The case was initially closed and allegedly reopened by a member of the Conservative party. This creates a worrying precedent for transgender, intersex, non-binary, gender non-conforming and wider LGBTIQA+ communities, one in which we are fearful to speak out in anger against the violence we face nearly every day without fear of incarceration.

The backlash Sarah is experiencing from the state is an extreme example of the hate, oppression and harassment we are experiencing as a community day to day. What is the motivation of the Conservative government to get involved in this? What are they hoping to get out of this, what is their end goal?

Regardless of how you view Sarah and what she said, the precedent our government is setting is an alarming one which will give them even more power to enact harsher control and violence over our community in the future. It’s important we don’t get caught up in who the government has chosen to make an example out of, this is a tactic to further divide our powerful community and we need to stand together. If this can happen to Sarah, it can happen to any one of us.

Of course, not knowing the difference between expressing anger (righteous or not) and inciting people to punch people probably is a key risk factor for ending up in prison.
Domestic abusers very often tell themselves a story about why their violence is justified.

If I identify as trans this afternoon (feeling a bit fluid) can I go and whack someone who says no to me? Or who I can crowbar into a smelly group?

I'm pretty sure there's a list of whackable and non whackable people, who are and are not human and are and are not entitled to the law according to the TQ lobby. It's like they're having a bash at 1930s Germany in clown world.
