I wonder if this person will be subjected to the same treatment as Caroline Farrow?

Let's wait and see!

Now that's just nasty, @Boiledbeetle

Mine's an Earl Grey decaff with something either thin & crisp or thick & chocolatey.

ifIwerenotanandroid · 10/06/2023 20:57

Oh dear.

Huh!?!?!?!?!?!?

IcakethereforeIam · 11/06/2023 00:17

Have you tried biting the diagonally opposite corners of a penguin biscuit and using it as a straw to drink tea? Omg!

I think it originated as a thing with Tim Tams.

Brisland · 11/06/2023 01:07

@CrossPurposes - thank you!

SinnerBoy · 11/06/2023 02:10

Strangely, in all the times I've been to Oz, this year was the first time I've had Tim Tams. Golden Gaytimes, yes.

I liked the Tim Tams, even though they're knock off Penguins.

Ereshkigalangcleg · 11/06/2023 09:04

I've never dunked a biscuit either and the idea repulses me Grin

Oh my. That is fighting words there. Tim tams are superior in the texture of the biscuit and the quality of the chocolate.

And golden gaytimes are ice creams.

SunnyEgg · 11/06/2023 09:20

Out of all the posts on these boards the one on Tim Tams has struck me to the core

Mint slice, pollywaffles and minties all good

SunnyEgg · 11/06/2023 09:21

Not biscuits but since golden gaytimes came up I feel it’s a no brainer how this will go down

This thread is really upsetting me. Reported.

Yes, yes I have. Many many times. In fact I'm hard pressed to think of a time I had a Penguin without doing this since I found out about Tim Tams [thank you Natalie Imbruglia]...as a Penguin always came with a hot tea or coffee.

Helleofabore · 11/06/2023 09:25

I have not had a pollywaffle for years. But Arnotts have made chocolate biscuits into an art form. Mint slice, dark choc mint tim tams are awesome and unbeatable. Minties and fantales are family favourites smuggled out in large quantities each 18 months.

Timtams have become currency in this family. You come to stay, you become and international Tim tam courier!

Helleofabore · 11/06/2023 09:28

I was gutted when I came back to the UK to discover tescos stopped selling Tim tams. I had high hopes the UK OZ trade deal would bring Tim tams back so I didn’t have to pay £6.50 per pack at the Australian/ NZ coffee shops.

Wagon wheels

Wagon wheels

Original one yes. There's something really moreish about them despite the fact they taste and feel 'off' when you first bite into them.

I'm also convinced they are smaller now (although that may be because my hands have grown in size since i was five)!

IcakethereforeIam · 11/06/2023 10:32

There was a website 'a nice cup of tea and a sit down', that asserted that every generation thinks Wagon Wheels have got smaller*. They posited that if that were true by now Wagon Wheels would so small they'd have to be deployed by aerosol. You'd spray them on your hands and lick them off. That said, they have got smaller, I believe. They do taste off, and the chocolate isn't very nice, but I'd eat one now if I had one, and I wish I had one.

I want to visit Oz for the biscuits. I don't want to because of the misozgyny

*possibly something we could use to build a bridge with tras? They shout 'twaw' we retort, 'Don't you think Wagon Wheels have shrunk?'.

ArabeIIaScott · 11/06/2023 10:42

Wagon wheels still exist?!

Intrigued by the mention of the website, I went looking and found that not only is there a website, there's also a book!

IcakethereforeIam · 11/06/2023 11:02

I've not looked it for years <nostalgic tear> twas the mention of Wagon Wheels that reminded me of it.

I wonder if it's still being updated....?

Waitwhat23 · 11/06/2023 11:04

I think it hasn't been updated since 2008 ish -
