Update on a couple of the Grand Perverts of Sexology and Transgenderism: Alfred Kinsey and John Money.
Plus Paidika, Academic Paedophile Journal - old news but "Where are they now?"
I thought about making a new thread but this history is relevant to how we got to where we are now - and where things might be heading.
ALFRED KINSEY
Indiana lawmakers back defunding Kinsey sex institute
February 22, 2023
INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — Indiana Republican lawmakers voted Wednesday to prohibit Indiana University from using any state money to support its sexual research institution after a far-right legislator unleashed disputed allegations of child exploitation by its founder and famed mid-20th century researcher Alfred Kinsey.
The Indiana House voted 53-34 to block state funding toward the Kinsey Institute that has long faced criticism from conservatives for its ongoing research and the legacy of Kinsey’s work that they blame for contributing to liberalized sexual morals, including more acceptance of homosexuality and pornography.
Alfred Kinsey, who died in 1956, produced groundbreaking sex-behavior studies in 1948 and 1953 and was portrayed by Liam Neeson in the 2004 film “Kinsey.”
Republican Rep. Lorissa Sweet claimed that some of Kinsey’s research was child exploitation as she argued for an amendment to the state budget bill against funding for the institute.
“By limiting the funding to Kinsey Institute through Indiana University’s tax dollars, we can be assured that we are not funding ongoing research committed by crimes.” Sweet said.
Democratic Rep. Matt Pierce, whose Bloomington district includes the university campus, responded that Sweet’s claims were “based on old unproven allegations of conspiracies that did not exist,” calling them “warmed-over internet memes that keep coming back.”
Pierce said the university maintained a department that ensured all research involving humans met federal laws and that the Kinsey Institute aimed to better understand human sexuality, including how to treat and prevent sexual predators and pedophiles.
An Indiana University spokesman and the institute’s director didn’t immediately comment on the vote.
Seven Republican House members joined all Democrats present in voting against Sweet’s proposal, which specifically prohibits the use of state money for expenses including the institute’s on-campus facilities, research work, utilities, office supplies and maintenance of research photographs or films.
Pierce said the institute’s funding was being exploited as a “culture war” issue and that it would simply create bookkeeping problems for the university to use sources such as outside grant funding or student tuition to support it.
The fate of the Kinsey funding prohibition might not be decided until a final version of the state budget is voted upon by lawmakers in late April.

(The budget was passed at the end of April. This isn't going to make a huge difference to the Kinsey Institute's funding base and is significant politically and culturally).
Lawmakers want to strip public funding from Kinsey Institute

During the house session, state representative Matt Pierce from Bloomington said he's toured the Kinsey Institute and spoken with its researchers. He vigorously defended the legacy of Alfred Kinsey and the work still being done today.
This kind of reminds me of the good old days when people used to stand up and say, "I got a list of 100 Communists in the state department. We better get him out of there in a hurry".
There are no sexual predators and there never have been at the Kinsey Institute because believe me, if they did, somebody would have done something about it. Prosecutors in law enforcement are not going to stand by and let kids be abused. It's not going to happen.
(Middle name: "Gullible")
State House speaker Todd Houston near the end: "mumble, mumble, disappointing" looking anywhere other than at the camera.
Just one example of the many exposes of the Kinsey Institute over the decades that these legislators missed:
'Pedophile ping-pong' permeates sex horror
October 20, 2010
On its website, the Kinsey Institute currently claims, "Kinsey did not hire, collaborate, or persuade people to carry out experiments on children. …"
Past Kinsey researchers, however, including Paul Gebhard, who helped research the Kinsey Reports, have acknowledged on the record that indeed Kinsey worked with and covered for pedophiles.
Kinsey and his colleagues also refused to report to law enforcement the ongoing child molestation while compiling data for Kinsey's 1948 and 1953 books on human sexual behavior, according to Gebhard.
"It was illegal and we knew it was illegal and that’s why a lot of people are furious," said Gebhard in 1998. "They say we should have turned him in instantly … [but] if we had turned him in it would have been the end of our research project."
Gebhard assumed leadership of the Kinsey Institute after Kinsey died in 1956.
Kinsey and his colleagues admit to protecting the identities of at least two pedophiles, an Arizona government employee and a Nazi, because the men were producing data on childhood sexual response that was valuable to their research on prepubescent orgasm.
"The information we got on childhood sexuality came from the observations of nursery school people, parents and pedophiles," Kinsey's co-author Paul Gebhard told the Bloomington, Indiana Herald-Times in 1995.
"Kinsey had contact with all [the pedophiles] that he could find," according to Clarence Tripp, Kinsey's photographer, in an interview with Yorkshire Television for its 1998 documentary, "Kinsey's Paedophiles."
In the 1995 Herald-Times article, Gebhard also acknowledged the Kinsey Institute declined to report its contacts with pedophiles to the police, for fear of jeopardizing its ongoing research.
"There couldn't have been any research if we turned them in. Of course, we knew when we interviewed the pedophiles that they would continue the activity, but we didn't do anything about that."

IU responds after state budget chop for Kinsey
APRIL 28, 2023
Extract 1:
Republicans held resolute even into the waning hours of budget negotiations that the Kinsey Institute of Indiana University wouldn’t get any state funding, much to the chagrin of university leadership.
Extract 2:
. . . a second reading amendment in the House, bars Indiana University from using state monies for the research institution, which studies sex, gender and reproduction. Its founder, Alfred Kinsey, produced ground-breaking research on sexuality, including the Kinsey Scale.
Amendment author Rep. Lorissa Sweet, R-Wabash, called Kinsey a child predator and said the school could still be hiding child predators. According to the New York Times, Kinsey solicited information from a convicted pedophile for the orgasm study.
In an email to faculty and staff, the school reiterated its “unwavering support” for the institute, committing to continue its research. It will conduct a review to ensure the university complies with state law.
According to the school, the vast majority of the Kinsey Institute’s funding comes from grants and private philanthropic support.
“Together, we will ensure that IU and the Kinsey Institute remain globally recognized for excellence in research and scholarship,” the email read.

PAIDIKA: THE JOURNAL OF PAEDOPHILIA - STATEMENT OF PURPOSE
The starting point of Paidika is necessarily our consciousness of ourselves as paedophiles. It is our intention to publish an intellectual journal which will examine paedophilia within its cultural context, with emphasis on the humanities, history and social sciences. We shall be speaking, therefore, not only to paedophiles seeking a greater understanding of their identity, but also to members of the academic community open to objective investigations of the phenomenon.
The ground on which we stand is the emergence and evolution of paedophile consciousness and identity in history. We point back to the writings of J. A. Symonds and members of the early German sexual emancipation movement such as Benedict Friedländer and John Henry Mackay, where views of paedophilia as an identity and subculture were proposed. The contemporary development of this consciousness is found in the work of Frits Bernard, Edward Brongersma, Tom O'Carroll, René Schérer and others. We intend to be a forum for the shaping of this consciousness.
But to speak today of paedophilia, which we understand to be consensual intergenerational sexual relationships, is to speak of the politics of oppression. This is the milieu in which we are enmeshed, the fabric of our daily life and struggle. There is no country where there are not proscriptions against even the most innocent consensual paedophile relationships. In the English-speaking countries, in particular, the facts of this politics are worsening, and these countries appear determined to impose their reactionary moral values on other nations. In the United States, for example, prison sentences of a century or more are not uncommon for consensual man/boy relationships, and in the state of Florida the paedophile can receive the death penalty for such relationships. Visual images that are part of a paedophile sensibility are also being assailed: in many places all nude images of minors are legally defined as pornography. Not only are our lives and culture under attack, but proposals are afoot in the United States and Canada to criminalize even discussions of lowering of the age of consent or the reporting of research that does not characterize paedophilia as child abuse.
It is our contention that the oppression of paedophilia is part of the larger repression of sexuality, and that this repression in general represents an irrational expression of authority in government. The oppression of paedophilia is therefore dangerous in a wider sense than simply to paedophiles. We must address the reality of this oppression, and while we do not advocate behaviour that violates these laws, we shall attempt to counter the hysteria with calmness and reason.
We wish then to welcome and invite our readers' participation. Through publication of scholarly studies, thoroughly documented and carefully reasoned, we intend to demonstrate that paedophilia has been, and remains, a legitimate and productive part of the totality of human experience.

This Journal appears to have been published between 1987 and 1995.

I have not explored this website but from a glance at the index it appears to be the work of a paedophile apologist although I am happy to be corrected.
What happened after 1995? Did those paedophile academics infiltrate the Editorial Boards of other Journals? The Governing Bodies and Committees of organisations with global influence?
