I had a message saying it's cancelled as people are blocking access to the venue, and security can't/won't move them

I just heard that rumour too - I'm trying to see if I can see anyone else who might be here for the event - I'm currently lurking and feeling rather intimidated

When we saw it in London there were no TRAs present at all. So weird that they have now got on top of this and so bloody sad.

Letter of complaint will be going to my alma mater tomorrow - who's the best person to address, and what are the best academic buzzwords to get in so that it is taken seriously?

Absolute travesty. Is there anywhere Edinburgh graduates are organising on this? Not that I’m in a position to do anything much- but it is shameful.

Write to Peter Mathieson, the Principal - but he's committed to being useless. I would suggest also sending a copy of whatever you write to Professor Kim Graham, the Provost. She's fairly new in post (it's a new position in fact) and it's not yet clear whether she's useless, but she may not be.

It’s probably a good thing as it stops social contagion of terfness to the general population. There is enough out there already spreading fear and derision
