No, it gets news coverage that makes TRA's looked unhinged, aggressive and unreasonable.....and ultimately gets people to come to a conclusion that women have a point in wanting to retain single sex spaces given the poor standards of behaviour of those advocating for them open to men.

Frankly as distressing being on the receiving end of such protests can be, they don't detract from the GC cause, they amplify it - significantly.

The whole "vulnerability" narrative loses all gravitas in the face of screaming, masked, aggressive activists with signs threatening to kill/hurt women and people are watching and listening.

You might not be willing to read the room, but there is a fair to middling chance I'd say that despite the total incompetence of the Tory administration, that the Labour Party will lose the next GE precisely because they refuse to distance themselves from an ideology that increasingly more and more people are becoming aware of and think is utter self indulgent wankary.

@MishyJDI will I'm sure be happy to tell you themselves where they sit on certain topics.

But it is safe to say the majority are not in agreement with a lot of the viewpoints Mishy has on topics.

Terfness isn't spread by terfs, each one is the result of a woman either directly abused by people like this or who have witnessed others ripped to shreds, called names anyone else would have their teeth knocked out for, or even facing deaths threats.

I was for trans rights when I was transmasc, until people like this mocked me for being abused by a tw and I noticed how common it is for even "queer" women to be thrown under the bus in the name of centering men.

Every "terf" (MOST not even radical feminists!) is the result of a light bulb moment like that. No one looks at the vitriol being sent to us and thinks that's a fun way to go about life, be reasonable.

they are such a small minority. Leave them be and stop seeing them as an existential threat when they are simply not.

Trans women are the gateway for men to access women’s spaces.

You are right a lot of transwomen probably aren't a threat But as we keep all men out of female spaces because it's recognised that it's not possible to differentiate between the safe men and the men with bad intentions in my opinion that includes the men who for whatever reason, good or bad, declare themselves a woman and demand access to female spaces.

And honestly from a safety point of view I find the fact that some men, now identifying as women, are so adament they get into our spaces that I can't help but think they have other reasons than just wanting to pee for being in there.

We can't tell the good transwomen from the bad transwomen so like the rest of the men they can all stay out of the single sex women's spaces.
