This needs to be shared far and wide!
Made by a YouTube auditor who had no idea what the protest was about and was shocked by the protesters and police.
Think he has just peaked a few thousand more people ( read the comments!)

Out Of Control Trans Protest! TLA Takes On Entire Protest! Police Get Owned #fail #pinac #metpolice

Hi GuysI really don't know where to start with this one. To say It was crazy just doesn't quite cut it.I happened to come across a trans protest in the form ...

Why so defensive? Do they really think that everyone is anti-trans? What's with all the face masks? Do they really think they are in danger if they show their faces?

Most people think live and let live in the most part but you have to really not give a shit about women if you can't understand there are some areas of concern with just allowing males to access female spaces solely on their say-so.

Yes they really do think all those things. That's what their social (online and IRL) bubble/filter shows them.

Just as a GC one, if we are not careful, overstates the degree to which "woman" is being replaced by "gender neutral" alternatives in biological contexts, or the degree to which toilets are becoming gender neutral.

I think GC women, being generally older and educated back in the day when seeking out a range of sources, hearing opposing views directly and concluding ones own position only after understanding all views and considering each on its own merits was considered a fundamental requirement for any position one held, are usually less susceptible to the filter bubble, but I do try to read many perspectives and I can see the mechanism operating on all sides.

It's not surprising a side that believes concepts that hurt the ego are too dangerous and damaging to engage with should be more susceptible to filter bubbles.

Plus of course the small problem that since reality itself is anti trans, or at least anti the "men and women have always been gender roles underneath, and sex doesn't really affect anything so let's all just ignore it" version of trans, ultimately everyone, and everything, is anti-trans, not because of hatred or bigotry or lack of vision but simply in the same way reality is also anti-flying-pig.

'It's impossible to be sure whether this streamer is actually affiliated with Patriotic Alternative, was misheard, or was deliberately trying to generate content by pretending to be a fascist.'

They forgot to add '...or whether the claim was completely made up by the bunch of deluded homophobes who believe everyone with an opinion different to their is literally Hitler.'

lol

Oh, my days:

'Yesterday at the lesbian counter-protest to The Lesbian Project's launch event a streamer approached protestors. We have been told by eyewitnesses that he claimed to be affiliated with the neonazi organisation Patriotic Alternative.'

https://twitter.com/trans_safety/status/1640297873832132612?cxt=HHwWiIC--beOwcMtAAAA

Jolly good thing the entire event and interactions weren't filmed, isn't it? Otherwise this might have been exposed for the bullshit that it clearly is.

Note the inevitable attempt to smear someone as a nazi. It's fucking grossly disrespectful as well as absurd.

Do they have a clue what this comes across like?

I mean way to win over people who don't know what's going on. Accuse them of being in league with neo nazis. It just shows it doesn't matter what you bloody do. if you aren't there with a rainbow on your shoulders shouting down lesbian women you're a nazi. No trial, no jury. Guilty.

Fuck me!

EndlessTea · 27/03/2023 13:32

How did I miss this thread? You lot are all brilliant. I’ve been nodding along thinking. Yeah! And that! And That!

endofthelinefinally · 27/03/2023 13:33

It worries me that those young people seem to have never read a book or studied any history, watched any of the recent interesting documentaries about actual Nazism. They throw these words around with no real understanding of what they mean. Some of them are even at university. It is pretty shocking.

You would think, in the light of the recent Casey review, that the Met police would begin to make a bit of an effort to prevent violence against women, but it appears they are a lost cause.

My goodness that footage is illuminating! 🤯

EndlessTea · 27/03/2023 13:48

the lesbian counter-protest to The Lesbian Project's launch

They are calling themselves counter-protesters.

And Lesbians.

There were an awful lot of fellas there amongst the ‘lesbian counter-protestors’

And a glaring absence of protestors to ‘counter’.

It was ‘a protest against The Lesbians Project’s Launch’. That was it.

The deliberate misuse of language to obfuscate what they were actually doing - trying to harass, intimidate and prevent lesbians from exercising their freedom of assembly.

There is definitely someone with a strategy going on. That SJB is obviously a loon, but a very necessary one. They needed someone to turn up the temperature so they could stop the guy from filming, SJB is their man.

I reckon most people were there to party - to get off their face and have a dance. It made me laugh when the drag queen came on and the vibe completely plummeted 😂.

I reckon only a handful of the attendees knew what the purpose of the event was.

Ah yes, typical neo nazi, turning up on his own and quietly filming.

It fucking terrifies me.

They have this idea that a Nazi is some kind of state sanctioned uber-bigot, so consumed by hate they will commit genocide on an industrial scale.

And while that is true as far as it goes, they seem to think that "hatred" is enough of an explanation. They don't see at all the purpose of the hate, the way it was deliberately engendered, weaponised and leveraged as mechanism of social control and indeed social pride. How a community of people -modern, 20th century people with access to books, newspapers, scientific, philosophical and secular education, radio, films - were frog-boiled into believing what they were doing was good and right and necessary to protect virtuous values against immoral ones.

I remember when I was growing up, Nazis were a figure of fun. We beat them and so we laughed at them. We were horrified by what they did but we didn't think they were different to us, in fact we (culturally) were scared that it could happen to us. A common trope in mid to late 20th films and novels was the moral protagonist trapped within the totalitarian regime that would sacrifice truth and autonomy (yep usually him) for "the greater good".

Yes. I feel a bit shaken by all of the footage in NZ where you could see a mob, full of hate and loathing- their emotions couldn’t be expressed as something else - but claiming to be opposing hate. It is frightening to see this side of human nature.

Datun · 27/03/2023 13:54

If that man had realised that the reason those protesters were so enraged was because those lesbians didn't want to do dick, he would've been utterly bewildered.

Middle aged women pulling on sweatshirts, leading their dogs, walking with sticks. I'm sure like everyone else, I can't wait to showcase the infuriated rage of those men over those lesbians.

Heterosexual men standing in the street screaming at lesbians, supported by the police.

EndlessTea · 27/03/2023 14:00

Yes. And on watching the video, you feel for the guy. I was thinking “please, nice sane women, don’t abandon this poor man to these weirdos - come back!”.

That's spot on. For this mob "Nazi" has ironically become the exact same sort of label the Nazis would have used to dehumanise their opponents / perceived persecutors.

The "Nazi" is some sort of subhuman sinister always-present "other" who's a threat to all decent people, and needs to be cast out before the rot spreads.

It's just come full circle.

CryptoFascistMadameCholet · 27/03/2023 14:03

The idiots that are retweeting this ridiculous claim seemingly without bothering to watch the publicly available footage would be funny if it wasn’t so sinister.

C’mon LOJ, are you gonna fall for this smearing nonsense too?

You can’t be true fascist without a uniformed enforcer oppressing dissenters of your ideology and the met police are very obviously on the TRA side.

I thought the same! After everything he'd just been through - the aggression, hostility and gaslighting - it was quite emotional to see that lovely woman take a minute to chat with him at the end, and make a genuine human connection. What a powerful contrast.

SleekMamma · 27/03/2023 14:08

He is a star!
And yes that woman in the face mask was patronising him. I think everyone underestimated him because of his Scottish accent. And he knew his rights.

The police clearly did not want to take on the protesters. Cowards.

Datun · 27/03/2023 14:09

The man they sent out to represent them didn't even know what fascism is. 🤣

He seemed to be trying to recall a year 8 history lesson.

QuinkWashable · 27/03/2023 14:11

Oh, I think that guy knew what fascism was - he was just trying to spin out the conversation without saying anything useful to keep the filming dude distracted.

You don't respond to a scottish who's just been called a fascist, asking what a fascist is by saying it was an Italian political party unless you're there specifically to play silly buggers (or you're a 9 year old trying to score points against your mum)

QuinkWashable · 27/03/2023 14:12

'A Scottish' - obviously A Scottish man.. sigh..

I spotted this poster on my local university campus a few weeks ago. Basically the students are being manipulated, in this case by the Socialist Workers Party, into absorbing their political ideology wholesale. Not getting them to read or to explore for themselves, but by by being told "what fascism is", and what's more how they can "fight it".

RealityFan · 27/03/2023 14:18

This is just wild, I can't believe what I've seen.
Crowds protesting against lesbians, a fair number of those lesbians older, and in no way any threat to anyone. Meeting for kinship and to discuss the crazy homophobic world, looking out the window to see...yes, that homophobic world screaming down their collective lugholes.
And the crowd, some of which may seriously believe that these women are a clear and present danger to them, their family, their friends, the world, but more just misogynist and lesbophobic thugs out to lord it over women.
This in itself is beyond the bounds of credulity, thinking that some women are plotting your extermination, if all those chants of NAZI! and FASCIST! are to be taken at face value. And that you, as a man, feel fully justified in making women fearful.
And then a Scottish YT blogger wanders on by totally randomly (love his "what's a Terf?" question lol), and within minutes is singled out by the motormouth with the megaphone, our new friend here just finding this hilarious.
Of course, all jokes have to be grounded in reality to be truly funny, except on this occasion, the reality is very unfunny indeed as the police are shown in no uncertain terms to be toothless, useless and it seems captured by this ideology (thanks Tory government of 12 years, yes, 12, for allowing Stonewall full rein within British policing), so that our inadvertent visitor to Planet Crazy is the one who becomes the perp.
You... could...not...make...this...up.

CryptoFascistMadameCholet · 27/03/2023 14:22

The police will really be stuck between a rock and a hard place if Auditors start turning up at TRA protests.

They won’t be able to appease the transactivists whilst following the law properly.

From my look around the internet last night it’s clear lots of cops are really rather annoyed by the whole Auditing concept and it’s causing enough of a headache that forces have had to issue guidance to officers on how to behave when they encounter it.

I can see why TLA didn’t ever just say ‘I’m filming because I’m an Auditor’ and just stuck to ‘I’m allowed to film, I have a right to be here’ because simply stating to the cops that you are there to ‘Audit’ risks antagonising them.
Best to let the cops suspect that’s what you are doing but not confirm it.

However, not stating that he was there to cop watch resulted in antagonising the TRAs, which in turn revealed just how not-neutral the cops were.

The police weren’t there to ‘keep the peace’ between two opposing groups, they were there to protect their sacred caste.

Protect them from a group of friendly lesbians and a well-behaved dog!

Brefugee · 27/03/2023 14:24

I've finally seen the last 10 minutes. When he saw who was coming out, and what it was all about he was shocked and we heard it.

It will be really interesting to see what people say about this now.
